Gaz Beadle’s kids ‘missing mummy a lot’ as she remains hospitalised

Gaz Beadle has shared another update as he's home alone and taking care of his kids while his wife Emma McVey is in hospital after her lung collapsed.

The former Geordie Shore star, 34, who shares two children with wife Emma, shared news that both of their children are "missing mummy a lot" while she's in hospital after open heart surgery.

Earlier this week, Emma was rushed to surgery to fix a valve and three holes in heart. She is now back in hospital as her surgery lead to a collapsed lung, making it the hardest thing [the] family will ever go through, according to Gaz .

On Monday, Gaz shared a video on Instagram showing his and Emma's son Chester ride a bike without stabilisers for the first time, and he was an immediate pro.

Gaz told his followers: "At a time where we all just need a little boost at a crazy time for us, out of the blue Chester just asked for his stabilisers off he has been on a balance bike for ages but never really bothered with pedals so was a surprise…

"But literally took them off and off he went… a special moment that put a smile on mummy and daddy’s face… kids are the best thing ever.

"Hard at times but these little moments make u forget them all… Chester is missing mummy a lot so this has defo taken his mind off things and really helped."

Emma commented on the post saying: "Such a big boy who’s done mummy soooo proud this week" with three red love hearts.

Emma also shared a photo that Gaz had sent to her, showing Chester sleeping with a pillow with a photo of Emma on it.

Emma told her followers: "Chester must of put the cover over me/my @snugzy that I got them both before I came in.

"Primrose pressed her bear twice in the night, I popped a little personalised voice box in their bears so they could hear me and one of our favourite things to say."

She continued to tell her followers about the scavenger hunt she had made them to keep them in a positive mindset while she's in hospital.

It comes after Gaz revealed Emma had suffered a collapsed lung following her open heart surgery earlier this week.

The former reality star shared a selfie with his beloved wife as she managed to sit up in a chair following recovery as she's on oxygen.

Gaz wrote: "Think it’s very important on here to always show the hard times not just the good stuff… this is the hardest thing our family will ever go through," he told his followers honestly in a new post on Instagram.

"Kids have been so brave but also cried and been emotional wrecks at bed times and mornings and just missing mummy like crazy…"

"Emma even with today the news 1 of her lungs has collapsed and is now on oxygen to help bring it back over the weekend, hasn’t stopped her 1 bit," the proud husband continued, as he praised his wife.

"Today when i went in for the hour we get as it clashes with school pick up she was up and walking to the toilet herself, which is just amazing and she is just smashing it and we are so proud!

"Always messaging in between sleeping checking on the kids checking they have gone to sleep ok checking how there day has been honestly love you so much what a mummy and wife u are."

Gaz went on to say that as a family they survived the first week and the kids are as "happy as they can" with a visit to the hospital planned for this weekend.

"We are super excited about our big trip to the hospital…" Gaz finished. "I am off to bed 8:45 on a Friday. Big weekend ahead and hopefully mid next week we get Emma home."

Gaz and Emma, who share children Chester, four, and Primrose, three, together, got married in 2021.
