Gemma Collins has revealed the biggest incentive that drove her to sign up to Celebrity Bake Off this year – and it was down to a longstanding crush.
The 42 year old former TOWIE star took part in the celebrity special of The Great British Bake Off alongside a host of famous faces including Friends star David Schwimmer and ex-Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson to raise money for Stand Up 2 Cancer.
But it was a certain judge that had Gemma blushing, as she admitted that she fancies Paul Hollywood, who weighed up the baking creations alongside Prue Leith.
Gemma is never one to mince her words, and she didn't hold back when talking about her adoration for Paul in a recent interview.
The star told The Metro: "He is gorgeous. I can confirm to every woman on the planet that he is unbelievable in the flesh. Whoever gets to marry Paul Hollywood next will be a lucky woman."
She said: "Paul Hollywood, bless him, was really complimentary because he saw how much enthusiasm I had and Prue Leith was beautiful."
Other celebs starring in the special fundraising show included Paddy McGuinness, Olympic diver Tom Daly and Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas, who played Simon in the smash-hit comedy series.
The series will be Matt Lucas' last, as he presents alongside Noel Fielding, after Matt announced his departure from the show in December.
Taking to Twitter, the 48 year old wrote: "Farewell Bake Off! It's been a delicious experience and I can't imagine a more fun way of spending my summers.
"But it's become clear to me that I can't present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects."
He went on to thank Channel 4, the cast and crew, before wishing the "best of luck" to his successor.
And, very recently, that successor was announced, with none other than This Morning 's Alison Hammond stepping into the comedian's shoes as the new host.
The news was announced on Bake Off's official Instagram page, as a post read: "We’re delighted to announce that Alison Hammond will be joining forces with Noel Fielding to host the next series of The Great British Bake Off on @Channel4 later this year," alongside a snap of This Morning favourite, Alison.
"We cannot wait!" they added.
Alison herself posted a video of a GBBO cake with icing figurines of her and her fellow co-stars as she pretended to 'interview' the one of her.
In her caption she wrote: "It’s OFFICIAL!!! It’s happening The Great British Bake off ! Let’s have it ! The cake that is," before tagging Prue, Paul and Noel.
This Morning's Holly Willoughby lent her support as she commented: "This is the greatest news babe!!!! Congratulations and save me a slice!!!!"
