Gemma Owen has been named on Tatler’s most eligible list despite the former Love Island star being in a relationship with Luca Bish.
The dressage rider, 19, who met Luca on the show this summer, was interviewed by the magazine after coming second in their most eligible list to Mason Mount.
Although the couple attended Monday’s Pride Of Britain Awards together and appear to very much be as loved up as they were in the villa, the topic of their relationship did not come up in her interview.
Tatler pointed out: ‘She has no intention of leaving [her family home] Lower Soughton Hall and the proximity to the footballer paradise that is Cheshire.
‘And she has no plans to move to Brighton. In fact, she doesn’t mention the L-word all day. Not “love” – Luca. Is the fishmonger no longer the priority?’
Since leaving the show, Gemma and Luca have not gone down the same path as many other Love Island stars that instantaneously move in together, instead deciding to split their time between Cheshire and Brighton, where Luca lives, as well as London for work commitments.
Gemma also shut down rumours her head could be turned by a ‘polo-playing aristocrat’, firmly telling Tatler: ‘No. Not for me.’
She previously told Metro.co.uk earlier in the month that things were going well for the pair despite the distance: ‘It’s been really good. Really good.
‘I think we’ve managed to make time for each other with this obviously new mad life. We’ve been supporting each other with what we’ve got going on and just trying to spend the most time with each other, which I think we’re managing quite well. But it’s all going really good.’
The PrettyLittleThing ambassador admitted there were no plans to move in together just yet, explaining: ‘At the moment, we’re making it work really well.
‘Whenever we have a free weekend or free day we’re either in Cheshire or Brighton. But in the immediate future, I think we’re going to continue as we are as it’s working really well for us.’
