George Clooney, 61, attended the London premiere of his new film, Ticket to Paradise, last night alongside his wife Amal Clooney, 44. It wasn’t long before George was quizzed on his opinion of the new Prime Minister Liz Truss, with the Ocean’s Eleven actor admitting he just hopes “she does her best” for Britain due to the country’s “financial worries”.
We wish the best!

As George was interviewed by press on the red carpet at Leicester Square, he was asked what he thought about Truss’ employment.
George said: “As we always say, we wish the best because there are a lot of things coming up.
“A lot of big issues are coming out, a lot of financial worries for the whole country, so we all hope that she does her best, and we hope that there is some luck in it because it’s a tough time for everybody”, George told Sky News.
The Hollywood heartthrob was speaking in a joint interview with co-star Julia Roberts.
Julia quickly quipped: “We know women to be terribly clever, don’t we, George?”
It was announced on Monday that Truss would take on the role as Prime Minister, beating MP Rishi Sunak for the position.
Truss received 81,326 votes from Conservative members, whereas Sunak received 60,399.
She has set many goals for her time as PM including sorting the soaring energy costs, as well as slashing taxes and helping to give back money to the public.
Meanwhile, George’s latest Hollywood blockbuster is not the first in which he has acted alongside co-star Julia Roberts.
The onscreen couple played husband and wife for over 20 years in films such as Ocean’s Eleven and Money Monster.
Tickets to Paradise was written with the pair in mind and is based on bitter divorced exes who team up together to stop their daughter from going ahead with her spontaneous Bali wedding.
In a recent joint interview, the pair opened up about playing exes and quaranting together in Australia while filming.

George explained that during shooting, he rented a house with his wife and their children, while Julia stayed nearby.
Julia has been married to Daniel Moder since 2002, however, he and her three children remained in the United States.
Speaking of the arrangement, George said: “We started in Hamilton Island, with all these wild birds, and Julia had the house down just below Amal and me and the kids.
“I would come out in the early mornings and be like, ‘Caa-caa,’ and Julia would come out and be like, ‘Caa-caa.’ And then we’d bring her down for a cup of coffee. She was Aunt Juju to my kids.”
Julia added: “The Clooneys saved me from complete loneliness and despair.
“We were in a bubble, and it’s the longest I’ve ever been away from my family.
“I don’t think I’ve spent that much time by myself since I was 25”, she revealed to the New York Post.
Ticket To Paradise is out in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 16 September.
