Georgia Harrison’s harrowing victim statement as ex Stephen Bear is jailed for 21 months

Former Love Island star Georgia Harrison has spoke out about her horrific ordeal after her ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear uploaded a video to his OnlyFans page of the pair having sex.

At a jury trial in December, Stephen, who found fame on MTV's Ex on the Beach, was found guilty on two counts of revenge porn and one count of voyeurism.

And today the reality TV star was sentenced to 21 months in jail and has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.

A restraining order was also handed down that prevents Stephen contacting Georgia for five years.

Georgia appeared in court to give a victim impact statement in which she told the Judge: "When I first saw the screenshot of the footage and realised it had been sold online by him I felt physically sick. I was crying on and off for hours and suffered panic attacks.

"The scale of how widespread the video was, was just unimaginable. I had people approaching me or referencing me literally everywhere. My head was always whirling with thoughts of what was going on and the fear that more of the footage could surface at any second.

“The clear lack of remorse or empathy from Bear was soul-crushing."

“To think he intentionally filmed me and sold footage knowing how much it would affect me has left me feeling hurt, embarrassed, insignificant and insecure in many ways. I simply do not have the confidence I used to. It makes me feel sick to think so many people have watched it.”

Georgia revealed that she has been living with her mum for the last two years as she is “too scared” to return to her own home in Essex, as she “can’t stand to be near” Bear.

She added: “He is so impulsive and I’m afraid as I really don’t know what he’s going to do next. It’s my hope this case sets an example to the younger generation that this sort of behaviour is not acceptable and there will be serious consequences for those who choose to act in such a way.”

Following the sentencing she gave a second statement outside the court, telling press and others gathered outside: "I just want to say that I'm happy and relieved that this matter is finally over.

"This sentence is a vindication of what I've been put through and sends a clear message that the police and courts take this matter very seriously.

"I want all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets on waiving my anonymity.

"I hope this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone else who's been a victim of it, it gives them some sort of justice. Thank you so much for all of your support and that's it."

Georgia shared that she was dropped by a number of brands after the video was released and has called on the government to do more to hold social media companies to account, help victims and act quicker.
