Internet users have mixed reactions to the news with some of them finding it hilarious as some people think the Louisiana woman isn’t the right person to launch a haircare line.
AceShowbiz -Tessica Brown, who is most known as Gorilla Glue Girl, seemingly has found a new way to capitalize on viral internet fame. The Louisana woman announced on Wednesday, June 16 that she’s launching a haircare line called “Forever Hair”.
In a statement that she issued, Tessica, who went viral early this year after putting industrial adhesive Gorilla Glue on her hair, revealed that she has “been working with professionals and we came up with a hair line.” According to Tessica, her product “has been helping me grow my hair back and maintain it.”
She further divulged her new product in an interview with USA TODAY. “A lot of people have been asking me, ‘What have you been using for your hair to grow back so fast?’ But I didn’t say anything because I’ve been waiting for this to come out. And now that they know, it’s selling,” so she shared. Retailing from $14 to $18, her products can be found on tbforeverhair.com.
Internet users had mixed reactions to the news with some of them finding it hilarious. “Read the ingredients carefully or it’s be forever hold,” one person tweeted, poking fun at Tessica who wasn’t able to move her hair after putting Gorilla Glue on her hair.
Insinuating that Tessica wasn’t the right person to launch a haircare line, another person wrote, “Who in they right mind is buying haircare products from Gorilla Glue Girl.” Echoing the sentiment, a user questioned, “Sis, you put gorilla glue in your hair and it was permanently LAID. How you gonna be some haircare product expert now???” Meanwhile, one user admitted to being “glad that she collects some coins.”
Tessica went viral with #GorillaGlueGirl hashtag on Twitter after she revealed in a video, which has more than 20M viewers, on TikTok that she could not move her hair for “a month” after she applied Gorilla Glue Spray Adhesive Heavy Duty on her hair. She decided to use the industrial glue because she ran out of her Got2B Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray. While admitting that using Gorilla Glue spray on her hair was a “bad, bad, bad idea,” Tessica said, “Y’all look. My hair, it don’t move. I’ve washed my hair 15 times and it don’t move.”
