Deadheads and footwear collectors alike can get their hands (nay, feet) on some new Grateful Dead merch, thanks to the band’s latest collaboration with Sanuk.
The new Sanuk x Grateful Dead Collection features hippie-inspired versions of the footwear brand’s most popular slippers and sandals, with homages to the Dead’s famous logo, tie-dye patterns and iconography.
A mash-up of Sanuk’s feel-good “Cozy Vibes collection” and classic Grateful Dead style, the capsule collection launches with two pairs of slippers for men and two pairs for women. The shoes are designed for both indoor and outdoor use, with a cozy fleece lining and sturdy tread sole.
Grateful Dead details abound, with de-bossed Steal Your Face logos, embroidered band hits and colorful, “psychedelic” linings — a nod to the Dead’s association with tie-dye prints.

Each pair of shoes is made from eco-friendly materials, using what Sanuk calls “100% traceable and responsible leather,” in addition to recycled polyester and outsoles made with 55% sugarcane foam. The fluffy lining is made from a wool and Tencel blend that keeps your feet warm, while helping to wick away moisture to prevent things from getting too sweaty and stuffy.
This is an officially-licensed collaboration, in partnership with Warner Music Artist Services, and designed in collaboration with, and approved by, the Grateful Dead. Pricing ranges from $85 for the “Cozy Vibe” slide sandal, to $95 for the “Cozy Low” shoe.
This is the fifth time the California-based footwear brand has partnered with the Grateful Dead; the last collection dropped this past spring and quickly sold out within days of release, though some popular styles, like the Grateful Dead version of Sanuk’s sling sandals and flip-flops (perfect for work-from-home days) have been re-stocked.
The new Sanuk x Grateful Dead collection is available now exclusively on Sanuk.com.
