Harry and Williams family nicknames for each other revealed in Dukes new book

In an extract obtained by The Guardian from Prince Harry's upcoming autobiography Spare, the Duke of Sussex accuses his brother Prince William of branding his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, as "difficult", "rude", and "abrasive".

And as Harry, 38, recalled the fight with his brother William, 40, in his new book, both of the nicknames they use for one another were revealed.

Harry alleges that he and William had a furious row at his London home Nottingham Cottage in 2019, and claims he was left with a visible injury on his back.

Harry said things turned sour with his brother "Willy" when they began arguing about his wife Meghan, as he writes: "Willy, I can't speak to you when you're like this."

Harry then claimed: "He [William] set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.

"I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

The Duke claimed that William was about to leave until he "turned and called back: ''You don't need to tell Meg about this'".

Harry said he responded to his brother with: "You mean that you attacked me?" to which he claims William replied: "I didn't attack you, Harold."

OK! contacted Harry and William's representatives for comment.

Following the alleged physical altercation with his brother, Prince Harry says he called his therapist before telling his wife, Meghan Markle about what had happened.

But he adds it wasn't long before Meghan, 41, found out after she noticed "scrapes and bruises" on his back.

After explaining what had happened, Harry said Meghan "wasn't that surprised, and wasn't all that angry".

He said: "She was terribly sad."

Harry's book Spare is set to be released on January 10, but he is set to return to our TV screens on Sunday 8th where viewers will see the Duke being interviewed by ITV News at Ten journalist Tom Bradby.

Tom is a good friend of Harry and Meghan after previously interviewing them together for a documentary about their 2019 Africa Tour.

The interview with Tom is expected to be 90 minutes, and Harry will appear without his wife by his side as he talks about his experience with the Royal family on camera.

As well as speaking with Tom Bradby, Harry has spoken with CBS' 60 minutes host Anderson Cooper in another interview ahead of his book release.
