Harry reveals details of Meghan and Kate row in book including baby brain comment

Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, will answer long-standing questions surrounding the rumours of row between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton amidst the preparations for Meghan and Harry's wedding.

Meghan previously discussed the row during her now infamous interview with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey, where she revealed that despite reports she had make Kate cry, it was actually the other way around and she was the one who had been left in tears.

She added that Kate “took accountability“ and sent the Duchess of Sussex a handwritten note and flowers.

Now, the Duke of Sussex has revealed the details of the row between his wife and his sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales in the book.

A source revealed the contents of this extract to the Daily Mail, telling them: "In the book Harry says that there was a discussion about the timing of the wedding rehearsal and the flower girl dresses and Kate was very upset.

"Meghan said that Kate must have 'baby brain' because of her hormones. It caused a huge row because Meghan was told that she wasn't close enough to her sister-in-law to discuss her hormones and it wasn't the way people spoke to each other within the Royal family.

"The book makes clear that Meghan felt the fall-out wasn't her fault, but it doesn't exactly make her look very good either."

Reports had previously suggested that the two women had a falling out as they discussed whether or not the bridesmaids should wear tights.

According to these reports, Meghan didn’t agree that the flower girls should wear tights, but Kate, in a bid to follow royal protocol, argued that they should.

“It was a hot day and apparently there was a row over whether the bridesmaids should wear tights or not", a source revealed to Tatler Magazine.

While a report from The Telegraph claimed that the disagreement was over Princess Charlotte's dress not fitting, which meant more appointments for dress fittings had to be scheduled ahead of the wedding.

An insider told the outlet: “Kate had only just given birth to her third child, Prince Louis, and was feeling quite emotional.”

In an extract of Spare, obtained by The Guardian, Harry also opens up about a disagreement between himself and his brother Prince William, as Harry alleges the Prince of Wales physically attacked his younger brother.

Recalling this, Harry wrote: "It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.

"I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

The book also sees Harry refer to William as his "beloved brother and arch nemesis" according to ABC news anchor Michael Strahan.
