Helen Flanagan tells of ‘chaos’ at home after I’m A Celebrity return

Helen Flanagan, 32, shared a snap of herself with her three slightly angsty-looking children on Instagram this morning, admitting that it’s been “chaos every day”.

The star’s photo, in which she held her youngest, Charlie, on her arm, was published to over a million followers.

The ex-Coronation Street star, whose 2023 jungle debut in South Africa was screened last night, has already admitted how much of a struggle it was to be away from her kids to film the show.

She’s also shared the difficulties she frequently has in calming them down, due to major meltdowns that often leave them screaming, crying and throwing themselves on the floor.

Helen suffered one such situation on a “horrendous” homeward-bound flight from Dubai earlier this month, which left her covering her eyes in horror.

The dishevelled and miserable ex-Corrie actress held back tears and covered her face with her hands after admitting the delayed flight was experiencing turbulence.

“Checking in was horrendous, I had so much stuff with me and Charlie just screamed [and] threw himself on the floor,” she agonised at the time.

She sparked concern when she demanded on Instagram: “Get me off this plane and get me a glass of wine!”

Meanwhile the Evanescence song ‘Bring Me To Life’, with its lyrics about needing to be “saved”, played in the background.

Although loyal fans have sympathised, she has also suffered a backlash, with some critics claiming she should be better at disciplining her children.

Her youngest, Charlie, who is still one year old and is only just about to enter the much-feared “Terrible Twos” phase, has seemed to be the most vocal of her trio when it comes to tearful tantrums.

“I cannot tell you how horrendous [his] tantrums have been,” she candidly confessed as she vented on Instagram earlier.

“I mean, I know what babies can be like… but when I’m saying he screamed the restaurant down yesterday, he just screamed and screamed,” Helen explained.

“I really was trying my best,” she insisted, before lamenting: “There was no consoling him at all.”

The actress and reality show star, whose second stint on I’m A Celebrity is currently being screened, added that she’d been “mum-shamed” for struggling to control the kids.

Fortunately, despite their split, her ex-partner Scott Sinclair has very much been a present parent, and he even joined her on the Dubai holiday this month to spend time with their children.
