Holly Willoughby shares rare peek inside lavish home with adorable snap of pets sleeping

Holly Willoughby gave her fans a rare sneak peek inside her lavish home as she shared a cute photo of her two pets snoozing.

The This Morning presenter posted a photograph to her Instagram of her dog Bailey and cat Bluebell snoozing together on the plush sofa together.

This seems to be a rarity for the two pets, who were on the opposite ends of the sofa, with Holly writing “Never thought I’d see the day… Bailey, Bluebell," on the picture caption.

In the photo, the pets are seen resting on a stylish light-blue sofa paired with a mix of blue and white striped pillows and zigzag patterned cushions –  with Bailey adorably resting his head on one of them.

On the other side of the sofa, by a black and white striped cushion, Bluebell was curled up in a ball.

The post garnered a big reaction from fans, with many of them having similar issues with their own pets.

One wrote: “This is so funny. I have the same problem. Cats live upstairs my dog stays downstairs. Hope their love grows from strength to strength xx.”

Another said: “Funnily enough after 2.5 years of fighting my two did the same today!! Must be something in the air!”

A third chimed in: “Aww yes , my dog and cat took about 2 years to accept each other. Now when I come in from being out they are sitting on the same sofa.”

“We have 3 cats and a pug and often now are on the sofa together. They have come a long way bless them. The cats can now tolerate Minnie,” said a fourth.

While a fifth added: “Our cat & dog have their moments like siblings, but they do play & love each other really. Cute pic.”

Holly welcomed golden retriever Bailey to her home, which she shares with husband Daniel Baldwin, and children Belle, Harry, and Chester, in November last year.

At the time, she shared a snap of her kissing the adorable retriever on Instagram, writing: "Bailey came into our life this month and has changed everything.”

She explained: "My daughter has been campaigning for us to get a dog since she was able to talk, and we have been waiting for the right time for a dog to fit into our family life.

"Now, is that time. This little ball of scrumptious energy bounded into our world and immediately made us question why on earth we have waited so long.

"She’s been brilliant for getting us all out of the house, going on long walks and playing in the garden.

"During lockdown, the kids gravitated to being on screens more than normal, but Bailey has come in and pushed a giant paw-shaped, reset button for all us…and of course we are completely in love.”

With Bailey only being a member of the family for a few months, being able to share a sofa with Bluebell is pretty impressive – but it hasn't been plane sailing the entire time.

Back in March, Holly was horrified to find her hoover was chewed up by her new pup just hours after she took it apart to give it a deep clean.

Sharing a snap of a guilty looking Bailey next to the destroyed hoover, the presenter wrote: "Dyson update … my dog ate my hoover."

In May, Bailey caused a bit more trouble by deciding to do some DIY in the garden, digging up the flowers and getting covered in mud.
