Curtis Pritchard has made his official acting debut on the popular E4 soap opera Hollyoaks on Thursday 6 May, but not everyone was happy to see the familiar face.
Former Love Island star Curtis, 24, joined the show as Jacob, the twin brother of Marco, who is played by his off-screen sibling AJ, 26.
The opening scene saw the twins together in a playground, plotting to bring down Trish Minniver, who is played by Denise Welch.
Curtis' character Jacob could be seen wearing a black T-shirt with a brown coat as he told his brother Marco: "I was beginning to think you'd forgotten about me. What would mum say?"
Marco replied: "Probably: 'Stop whinging,'" as Jacob continued: "True. How's Trish?"
"Heartbroken. She thought she was going to get engaged – couldn't have been further from the truth," AJ's character explained, to which Jacob responded: "Well, that's made my day, that."
Viewers took to Twitter to share their opinions on their acting abilities as many couldn't help but notice how "wooden" their performances were.
"AJ and Curtis must have been Pinocchio in a past life – because their acting are as wooden as a marionette! #Hollyoaks," one person wrote.
A second agreed: "Lmao Curtis and AJ acting is awful," followed by three see-no-evil monkey emojis and three crying with laughter emojis. They added: "I'm cringing so bad #Hollyoaks," with another two see-no-evil monkey emojis.
A third said: "I thought the acting was bad in Hollyoaks already…then Curtis and AJ appeared," with three rolling on the floor laughing emojis.

AJ quit his role on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 after four years to "follow his dreams" and has gone on to compete in I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in Gwrych Castle, Wales.

Curtis shared the news on his Instagram feed with a photo of himself making a funny face as AJ, which he captioned: "CHRISTMAS IS BACK last year #panto was massively missed but this year it’s back it’s bigger and it’s better and I will be joined by my #bro @aj11ace. #cinderella".
