Hollyoaks Ste actor Kieron Richardson reveals cosmetic treatment with before-and-after pics

Hollyoaks favourite Kieron Richardson has undergone "a few months" of laser surgery to eradicate his neck's shaving rash.

Recognised for portraying Ste Hay since 2006, who was given arguably the soap's biggest storyline back in 2019 with the radicalisation twist, the 37 year old took to Instagram Stories this week to reveal the results of his treatment with a before-and-after shot.

"A few months laser from @beeutyyourself. No more shaving rash once the redness calms down. Not an ad just a good local business," read the caption, referring to the righthand picture of his raw skin.

The one on the left depicts his stubble pre-treatment.

Kieron previously caught up with The Sun while launching his clothing range Phoebe & Chase, where the subject of putting his surrogated son and daughter on social media cropped up.

"I put pictures online but that is probably all we would do," he said. "We did the surrogacy thing [Channel 4 documentary titled Raised by Queers] to help people because when we started, not many people had done it before so there were loads of questions I wanted answered. I feel like we did that and that is covered now."

As for whether he'd like to capture the family dynamics (along with husband Carl Hyland) for a TV documentary, the star admitted: "No, I don't think I would be up for that because I do like to have my private life. It's too exposing."

Reflecting on his hectic life juggling parenthood, the business and Hollyoaks, he shared: "The hours can be quite long but when you come back and walk through the door and have two little smiley faces running up to you, that feeling – I never thought that opportunity would be for me – and now I've got it and it's the best feeling in the world.

He went on to say that despite "working hard", it's "worth it", when he gets home to his children and husband.

Exclusively speaking to OK! in 2020, Kieron revealed that the couple had dreams to welcome a third little one into their lives, but the sometimes tough realities of parenthood stopped them in their tracks.

"We were going to have another straight away, but I don’t think anything prepared us for having two babies at once, so we’ve put the brakes on it!" he said.

"With surrogacy, you go from a full night's sleep to ‘You’ve got two kids, now go do it.’"

Carl chipped in with: "Once the kids get a bit more self-sufficient, we’ll look at having another one. As long as we don’t get a couple of 'three-nagers'! We say another 'one', but we’ll probably end up with twins again!"

They fronted a special Channel 4 documentary titled Raised by Queers that year, too, candidly opening up about same-sex parenting and its place in society.
