Kelly Brook recalled the moment she got tipsy at a showbiz party in 2014 and decided to make Idris Elba, 49, a drink, which he didn’t like. The 41-year-old told her co-host Jason King and listeners that she slid into the actor’s DMs after the night out, but was “shut down” by him.

On the show yesterday, she admitted she couldn’t believe she was telling the story, but proceeded to spill all the details anyway.

The presenter revealed: “The last time I saw Idris Elba was in a champagne bar and I was pretty tipsy.

“And I saw him, and like most women, was taken a bit kind of like, taken aback.

“And I went behind the bar and I started pretending I worked there, and asked him if he wanted a drink.”

Kelly added she made the actor a cocktail and woke up the next day full of regret about the “embarrassing” moment.

The host went on to say she messaged him on Twitter asking if he enjoyed the drink she made.

“His response was, ‘It was awful – thought that counts though, babe, nice to meet you’.”

“And I said, ‘Oh gosh, no, really well at least it looked pretty’, I think I’d put some stuff in it.”

She went on to tell Idris: “’Nice to meet you, by the way I have a really bad hangover’.”

On his reply, she added: “’Haha! Just have a lie in’.”

“That was the last I heard from him! How embarrassing. How embarrassing,” she went on to say to her co-star.

“I got the message. He shut me down.”

The model made her admission following the news that Idris opened a new champagne bar in Kings Cross last month.

Speaking of his new venture to The Metro, he said fans may be able to see him there, but revealed he won’t be DJing there as “it won’t be a party place”.

“I’ve been away a lot for work lately, to Australia and South Africa, but now I’m home, so you’ll definitely see me down there, chilling in a corner somewhere,” he added.

The actor and DJ tied the knot with his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba in 2019.

The couple met in 2017 through mutual friends at a jazz bar while celebrating a birthday.

Kelly has been with her model boyfriend Jeremy Parisi since 2015.

She previously told The Sunday People why marriage and children were not on the cards for the pair.

She spilled: “Marriage and children are not things I’ve wanted.

“I’m not saying never, it’s just not on my radar.

“There are so many things I love, I think marriage and children would stop me doing them.

“It’s very hard to change your ways when you get to your forties and I don’t think it’s for everyone.”
