Inside Phillip Schofield's £2M London bachelor pad

Inside Phillip Schofield’s £2M bachelor pad: As This Morning stand-in Alison Hammond lists her home on the same day he quit the show, a look at the embattled presenter’s London abode

He’s been lying low since he sensationally quit This Morning over the weekend.

Yet Phillip Schofield will not be holed up in squalor as he has a luxurious pad in west London, just a stone’s throw from The Thames, after splashing out £2 million on the property in 2020.

The new house on a wide residential road boasts a magnificent open-plan kitchen, three receptions, six bedrooms and a converted basement as well as a stunning large conservatory and sprawling garden that’s perfect for entertaining.

Amid his ‘amicable’ £9 million divorce with his wife Stephanie, the father-of-two purchased a bachelor pad in the capital where he would be living close to celebrity pals such as Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly.

While they may be in the midst of a bitter feud, Holly was one of the first visitors to Phillip’s home when she helped him settle in two years ago.

Cosy: Phillip may be gaining a new neighbour soon as  Alison Hammond is on the hunt for a new abode after putting her £700,000 Birmingham home on the market over the weekend

Phillip may be gaining a new neighbour soon as former co-star Alison Hammond is on the hunt for a new abode after putting her £700,000 Birmingham home on the market on the very same day that Phillip quit This Morning.

The silver fox has already made an impression on his current neighbours after being spotted frequenting pubs along the River Thames.

Locals told MailOnline shortly after Phillip moved in that he is seen more on foot or bike than in his luxury Jaguar sports car which has a private number plate and is parked on the forecourt of his new home.

One neighbour said: ‘It’s caused quite a stir since he’s moved in and got people very excited. He seems like a very nice man and quite normal. You see him walking or cycling mainly and he smiles every time he goes past.’

Another neighbour added: ‘There’s quite a few famous people already living around here so Phillip Schofield moving in is not a big deal.

‘A lot of people have been talking about it, but nobody bothers him. He’s a lovely bloke and I’m sure he’ll enjoy living in our community.’

Phillip and his estranged wife also co-own a plush £2.5 million country pile in Henley-on-Thames, which has been the family home for many years with their two grown-up daughters, Ruby and Mollie.

The TV star also owns an incredible holiday home in Portugal, in the Algarve and offers stunning views across the Portuguese hills.

Cosy: Phillip’s home boasts an open plan living and kitchen area and is decked out in neutral tones with a sprawling suede sofa

Lush: Phillip can sun himself in a sprawling garden full of lush greenery and a large patio for entertaining guests in the summer months

It was reported recently that Phillip’s former co-star Alison put her home on the market on the very same day that he quit This Morning.

The beloved presenter, 48, listed her £700,000 home in Solihull in the Midlands where she has lived with 18-year-old son Aiden for three years.

The move will leave Alison free to be closer to west London, where the ITV studios are based, in case she is given more duties on This Morning.

She currently presents the Friday segment with Dermot O’Leary and the two have filled in for Holly this week after Phillip dramatically left the show over the weekend after 21 years at the helm.

The Daily Mail previously reported that Alison is Holly’s favourite to replace him and she has one of the bookies’ favourites to take over when Holly returns to the show next month.

A source told The Sun: ‘The timings are entirely coincidental but are, perhaps, telling. Alison loves that house but wants a fresh start. She’s incredibly in demand.

‘It’s looking highly likely she will be asked to do more days a week on This Morning — and therefore she will be spending more time in London.’

Alison’s Birmingham abode boasts a hot tub, dining room and open-plan spacious kitchen, as well as a huge garden.

She moved in during lockdown in 2020, previously showing off her new residence live on This Morning to an admiring Phillip and Holly.

The presenter appeared live from her living room which boasts a wall covered with her mementos of her TV career, a sleek white dining table and large mirrors

It went on the market on Thursday as ITV bosses staged emergency talks with Phillip about his exit, before he quit the show for good on Saturday.
