At the event, Jade was the recipient of the Gay Times Honour for Allyship, for being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

If you didn’t know, Jade is on the recent cover of Gay Times magazine for their Honours issue, where she opened up about being an ally.

“I think the more that I learn about my allyship and what I can be doing and how I should be doing those things, the more passionate I’ve become in using my voice and using it in the right way,” she told the mag.

“Sometimes it can feel a bit hard to know exactly what you’re meant to do to help and combat that,” Jesy added. “So I’m definitely trying my best to talk to Stonewall more about how I can help and be there for my friends, for my trans friends and find ways to support them through that, and push governments and the right people into making a change.”
