Jason Donovan looks unrecognisable as he stars as Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show.
The former Neighbours actor, 54, ditched his short blonde locks for a longer, darker ‘do to portray the character in the well-loved musical.
In snaps taken of Jason performing in Sydney, Australia, he sported some dramatic make-up consisting of red lipstick, false lashes and smokey eyeshadow.
Dress to impress, the 54 year old donned some fishnet stockings with a mini dress and feather bowa, complete with a fascinator headband.
Other shots showed the Australian-born star in a pair of suspenders, red corset, heels and a leather jacket.
The Rocky Horror show celebrates its 50th anniversary at Sydney’s Theatre Royal today, 17 February.
Speaking about taking part in the famous musical, Jason described himself as “thrilled”.
“I am thrilled to be coming home next year to be part of the legendary Rocky Horror Show and in its 50th Anniversary production no less!” he said, as per Mail Online.
“From the very first performance in London those years ago, Richard O'Brien created a show from the wilds of his imagination with incredible music that has now stood the test of time, and an awesome energy that befits its accolades and its endurance.
“Quite simply, it's a rock n roll show appealing to the cheeky side of us all so I cannot wait to be on stage at Theatre Royal Sydney to party in 2023!”
Echoing his excitement, director Chris Luscombe added: “As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rocky Horror, it's a treat to watch these exceptional young actors respond so enthusiastically to the material, putting their own stamp on such legendary roles.
“With Jason Donovan at the helm, with his wealth of experience, and Myf Warhurst as a deliciously witty Narrator, audiences really are going to enjoy a fabulous party every night.”
Jason took over the role of Frank N Furter from fellow former Neighbours star Craig McLachlan, who was dropped from the show.
He was later cleared of the charges by Melbourne Magistrate Belinda Wallington, who found him not guilty in 2020.
While she found him innocent, the magistrate went on to praise the witnesses for their bravery.
“I want it noted the following: The four complainants were brave and honest witnesses. I was not persuaded that there was evidence of collusion between the complainants,” Ms. Wallington told the courts.
“I was not persuaded that there was evidence of motive, or that the complaints were made for reason of career ambition or any other such reason.”
