Jennifer Garner, 50, has long been a maternal figure on-screen with a gentle, empathetic nature, recently revealing that this extends beyond the camera and to her home life as well.
The world-renowned actress is also a mother of three, Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and her son Samuel, 11, all of which she shares with her former husband Ben Affleck, 50.
As she prepares her household for the onslaught that will soon be three teenagers under one roof, Jennifer told People the key to navigating this stage of their lives is her commitment to learning.
She shared: “I’m learning as much from them, or more from them, than they’ll ever learn from me.
“I just have a huge heart for teenagers. I love them. I love what they’re going through. I see how hard it is to be a teen right now.
“My kids aren’t mean — they’re teenagers, but they’re not mean. Not to me.”
However, it’s not just her biological children that the actress is mothering after having played countless maternal roles over her years in the entertainment industry.
She continued: “I’ve played a mom quite a bit, and that is actually lovely, because it’s very easy to slip into mothering some awesome young actor, and then you build a relationship under it, so at the end, you’re quite close.”

The usually private actress has opened up a lot about her home life in recent months as she promotes her newest film, The Last Thing He Told Me, wherein she stars as the stepmother of a teenager.
Jennifer admitted she’s hardly in the headlines due to the effort she puts in to avoid them, as well as avoiding reading any about her former husband.
She told Stellar Magazine: “I really work hard not to see either of us in the press. It doesn’t make me feel good, even if it’s something nice about one of us.
“I don’t need to see anyone in my family made into a meme,” before admitting that Ben is “quite memeworthy”.
Jennifer and Ben currently co-parent their three children, and have been doing so since they announced their separation in 2015.
The pair were married in 2005, becoming one of Hollywood’s most steadfast couples until their official divorce in 2018.
Since then, Ben has famously moved on, reigniting the flame with his former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez and marrying her in June last year.
