Jennifer Lawrence was glowing at the New York City premiere of her latest movie on Sunday as she debuted her baby bump on the main carpet.
The 31-year-old confirmed she was pregnant in September and has since kept a low profile – that is until last night as she made an appearance promoting Netflix movie Don’t Look Up, which she stars in alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Jennifer looked a vision wearing a glittering gold floor-length gown with semi-sheer cape sleeves, embellished tassels and an empire-line silhouette.
The radiant actress appeared in happy spirits as she posed for the cameras, photographed at one point beside her co-star Leonardo, who was dressed extremely suave in a navy blue suit and tie.
Jennifer plays an astronomer in the comedy and Leonardo a professor, who both discover that a comet is heading for earth.
Meryl Streep and Jonah Hill also feature in the movie directed by Adam McKay, which is set to be released later this month.
Speaking to Vanity Fair last month, Jennifer discussed how she felt about expecting her first child:
“If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, 'Oh, my God, you're expecting a baby,' I wouldn't be like, 'God, I can't talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!' But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can.
“I don't want anyone to feel welcome into their existence and I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
Absent from the film premiere was Jennifer’s husband Cooke Maroney, whom she tied the knot with in October 2019 after a year together.
Although the actress has said she wishes to keep her family life private moving forward, a close source remarked that she is “looking forward” to becoming a parent.
"Jen wanted a family for a long time and found an ideal mate whom she loves, respects and enjoys being around," an insider told People.
"She loves married life, and they have a solid foundation for a baby. She is very happy and looking forward to being a mom.
"She loves her work and that will continue. Like other actors, she will balance her career and her life as a wife and mom. She will do it well.
“Jen is grounded and ready to be a parent because she loves family life."
