Jeremy Clarkson, 61, is making a name for himself in the farming world amid the success of his Amazon Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm. However, the star has now clarified how he wasn’t getting extra help behind the scenes on the show.

Jeremy felt compelled to correct a viewer recently after they mentioned he might have been helped out when he was farming.

Speaking about his Amazon Prime Video documentary, one fan pondered if there were “farmhands” behind the scenes.

Reacting to rumours the show might come back for a second series on Twitter, they wrote: “Jeez I didn’t think he’d go there, too hard work!!

“But there will be plenty of farmhands in the background doing the real stuff!”

Jeremy couldn’t help but weigh in and correct them over their assumption.

In view of his 7.3 million followers, he replied saying: “There weren’t. Don’t be so unpleasant.”

The eight-part series follows the petrol head as he gets himself stuck into farming.

Having bought a farm in Oxfordshire many years prior, it was only recently he started taking on the tasks himself.

Throughout the documentary-style show, viewers watch his highs and lows when taking on the challenge.

He is helped out by some skilled workers on the farm, including Kaleb Cooper, who since has become a fan favourite from the show.

Jeremy is also helped out by his girlfriend Lisa Hogan and other farm workers.

However, he seemed to take issue with the insinuation there were more behind the scenes.

The popularity of the series has left many hoping it will be recommissioned for more episodes.

As well as this, fans have been flocking to his Diddly Squat farm shop to try and see the man in action on the farm.

Although it seems there is some bad news on the horizon for visitors.

Clarkson has opened up about how his farm shop will have to close for a period of time later this year.

This is because The Grand Tour presenter has to reinstall the roof.

He mentioned the news in his latest column for The Sunday Times last weekend.

The broadcaster penned: “The bees worked hard and produced a lot of honey and the shop is proving to be something of a success?

“Even though I’ll have to close it down this winter to give it the fake slate roof that the local council likes, instead of the tasteful green roof it has now, which everyone else likes.”
