Jeremy Clarkson has discussed the many challenges he faced while filming his upcoming Amazon Prime show, Clarkson’s Farm. The former Top Gear presenter revealed that he attempted to deliver a lamb last year and while doing so he accidentally entered the wrong hole, resulting in an angry sheep.
The 61-year-old candidly detailed all during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.
It comes as the Grand Tour presenter opened up about the challenges of running his 1,000 acre farm.
Speaking about the error, Jeremy began: “In the middle of the first lockdown it was lambing season. I’m up at the lambing shed and they’re coming thick and fast. I’ve got about 75 sheep.
“The vet was there helping me out but because of the pandemic she couldn’t come within two metres of me.
“She’s got one sheep that’s in trouble and there’s another one having a difficult birth.”
The veterinarian urged Jeremy to assist in the delivery of the sheep’s birth much to the TV personality’s dismay.
The Grand Tour host explained he put on a big Herriot glove and proceeded to help the sheep give birth.
“The sheep started to look at me in an odd way,” Jeremy continued. “And the vet was going, ‘Can you feel his head?'”
The car-enthusiast turned farmer admitted he couldn’t feel the sheep’s head or legs.
He commented that the vet urged him to “go deeper” as Jeremy attempted to reach for the lamb’s head.
ITV host Jonathan remarked: “I have a horrible feeling of where this is going.”
Jeremy went on: “The sheep was really looking at me in a cross way. I then asked, ‘How many holes does a sheep have?’ And it’s two.

“So when you say are you a farmer? The simple answer is no. Most sheep farmers would know they had gone in the wrong one.
He added: “Every time I go to see the sheep now, I always know which one it was.”
Elsewhere, Jeremy recently opened up about an injury he suffered during a trip to Portugal.
The Grand Tour presenter explained how he’d been “punched” after he travelled via private jet to watch a Chelsea match.
He explained how he’d been separated from the group after a long lunch in the sunshine, which left him feeling “cheerful”.
The presenter explained: “So cheerful, in fact, that I got separated from my party and found myself surrounded by some good-natured City fans who decided to express their good-naturedness by punching me in the side of the head.”
He continued in his column for The Sun about how he had to reassure the police and ambulance he was okay.
Jeremy added: “It took ten minutes to convince a policeman that it was just joshing that had gone a bit wrong and that no one needed to go to the station.”
