Joel Dommett was left mortified when his friend Jonathan Ross hung up on Jeremy Clarkson in an amusing moment on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?.
The presenter, 37, appeared in the famous hot seat on the celebrity edition of the quiz show in a bid to raise the seven-figure sum for his chosen charity.
After becoming stumped on one question, he decided to use his phone-a-friend lifeline and call his pal Jonathan Ross for help.

The question read: ‘Which of these directors did not direct any of the James Bond films that starred Daniel Craig? A: Christopher McQuarrie, B: Cary Joji Fukunaga, C: Sam Mendes, D: Martin Campbell.’
However, when they called Jonathan, 61, the chat show host awkwardly hung up on host Jeremy, 62, in the very brief conversation.
After Jonathan picked up the phone, Jeremy greeted him by saying: ‘Hi Jonathan? Hi Jeremy Clarkson, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?’

To which Jonathan responded: ‘Jeremy, I’ve told you time and time again, I’m not interested in buying any potatoes, you’ve got to stop calling me,’ referring to Jeremy’s business running Diddly Squat Farm Shop.
His response prompted laughter from both Joel and the audience, before they realised that Jonathan had, in fact, hung up.
‘Has he hung up?’ Jeremy asked as Joel looked around awkwardly and the audience erupted into more laughter.
‘There’s a first, Jonathan has hung up on me!’ Jeremy added. ‘Would you like to call Graham Norton? He’s a much nicer man, he’s much nicer, he wouldn’t hang up and he’d probably know!’

But Jeremy did manage to call him back and the pair continued joking around, with Jonathan saying he was sitting in his underpants because he couldn’t turn his heating down.
Despite the awkward gaffe, Jonathan went on to help Joel get the correct answer and The Masked Singer host won £125,000 for Brain Tumour Support charity.
Taking to Twitter, viewers were quick to comment on the amusing moment, deeming Jonathan as ‘one of the funniest phone of friends ever’.
One wrote: ‘Go Joel and Jonathon!’ while another added: ‘Jonathan Ross needs to be a phone a friend more often.’

Former footballer Chris Kamara also appeared on Sunday’s episode of the show and raised £32,000 for his chosen charity.
