He’s back! Johnny Depp WILL remain as face of Dior Sauvage in new $20M deal – as ex-wife Amber Heard QUITS Hollywood after losing bid to dismiss $10M defamation judgment
Johnny Depp will continue serving as the face of Dior Sauvage, after signing a three-year contract ‘upwards of $20 million.’
While his ex-wife Amber Heard has reportedly quit Hollywood and moved to Madrid, Spain, following their high-profile defamation trial last year, the Edward Scissorhands actor, 59, may have struck the largest men’s fragrance deal in history, according to Variety.
The publication pointed out he was paid nearly twice what Robert Pattinson earned as a spokesperson for Dior Homme. Similarly, Brad Pitt was paid $7 million to promote Chanel No. 5.
A source told the outlet that ‘most A-listers with fragrance deals pull in around $2 million-$4 million per year like Chris Pine, whose deal with Armani is valued at $4 million a year over 3 years.’
Depp first became the face of the men’s scent in 2015, and continued working with the luxury fashion house amid his legal woes with Heard, who accused him of physical abuse and sexual assault.

Dior stood by Johnny throughout his trial, and sales of the cologne he advertises, Sauvage, rose at retailers, the Wall Street Journal reported in June 2022.
The publication stated that Depp’s cologne was among their top-selling fragrances online last year.
While he continues to thrive professionally, DailyMail.com confirmed his former spouse has ‘quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain’ with her daughter Oonagh Paige, two.
‘She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise,’ a friend of the performer revealed.
The insider continued: ‘‘I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right for the right project.’
The Aquaman actress sold her home in Yucca Valley, California, in July last year for $1.1million (nearly double what she paid for it).
Then, in October, she was photographed on a beach in Majorca with her girlfriend Eve Barlow. At the time, she was rumoured to be living in a rented house on the island.
But I’m told she has now moved permanently to a new home outside Madrid with Oonagh, who is two.
Through thick and thin: Depp first became the face of the men’s scent in 2015, and continued working with the luxury fashion house amid his legal woes with Heard, who accused him of physical abuse and sexual assault
Heard hasn’t worked since filming Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom in 2021, and a modestly budgeted thriller, In The Fire, last spring. (The Aquaman film comes out, finally, at the end of this year.) It’s not known whether Heard is still with Eve Barlow, who has remained in Los Angeles and is working as a writer.
At Christmas, Barlow appeared to suggest they had split when she posted an essay on Substack saying that she was ‘searching for optimism at the end of a life-altering year.’
She added: ‘Today I was reminded of a beautiful passage from a Khalil Gibran poem about why strength has to be renourished and revitalized in ourselves, often alone.’
In July of 2021, Heard announced on Instagram that she had become a mother.
The actress wrote a lengthy message in her post’s caption where she revealed that her little girl, whose father has not been publicly revealed, had arrived that April.
She also also expressed her thoughts about parenthood in the statement, which partially read: ‘I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.’
Heard’s daughter was born a year before the Depp v. Heard case, which was centered on allegations of defamation that were made by both the actress and her former husband.

The pair were married from 2015 until 2017, and the Pineapple Express actress alleged that the Pirates Of The Caribbean star had been physically abusive over the course of their marriage, which he denied.
Heard also had an op-ed published by The Washington Post in 2018, in which she outlined how she felt as if speaking out about the alleged abuse she suffered during her marriage negatively affected her career.
The actress went on to file suit against News Group Newspapers for printing various allegations about his marriage through The Sun in 2020, although he ultimately lost his case.
Depp went on to sue his former wife for defamation regarding the op-ed in 2019, and she followed suit before their trial began in July of last year.

While both parties made appeals regarding the judgements, they dropped them and settled the case in December of last year, when it was decided that the actor would receive $1 million from his former spouse’s insurance company.
Heard subsequently released a statement regarding the settlement and expressed via BBC that she had ‘lost faith in the American legal system.’
