Judas Priest Announce Andy Sneaps Return As Touring Guitarist

Judas Priest has decided to reinstate electric guitar player Andy Sneap into the touring lineup for their upcoming trek.

In a statement last week, the rock band announced that they were planning to resume their 50 Heavy Metal Years tour in March as “an even more powerful, relentless four-piece heavy metal band,” consisting of singer Rob Halford, guitarist Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis with occasional appearances from retired guitarist Glenn Tipton.

Sneap had said he was “incredibly disappointed” over Judas Priest’s decision to tour as a quartet.

Following backlash from fans, the band issued another statement, saying, “Hello metal maniacs… given all that has recently evolved and transpired, we have decided unanimously as a band to continue our live shows unchanged with Rob, Ian, Richie, Scott, Andy and Glenn joining us whenever he’s able.”

“So see you all soon as we forge ahead celebrating 50 massive heavy metal years of Judas Priest together,” the statement added.

Judas Priest are set to resume their 50th anniversary tour on March 4.
