In the film, the greatest DC heroes came together for the first time ever on the big screen, including Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Together, they joined forces to prevent the supervillain Steppenwolf from destroying the Earth.
After its original release, reviews were largely negative for the primarily Joss Whedon-directed film. Zack had to drop out originally due to a family emergency, leading to fans to call for a version of the film with his original vision in mind.
