The ‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’ star receives negative comments after clapping back at a social media user, who says that she is ‘definitely beautiful before the face change.’
AceShowbiz –K. Michelle has landed in hot water. The “Can’t Raise a Man” singer has been facing backlash after she responded to a social media user who commented on her face, noting that she’s beautiful “before the face change.”
On Sunday, December 12, the 39-year-old star asked her 1.6 million followers on Twitter, “Y’all been knowing me for years now. Am I petty, misunderstood, or both? #imtheproblem.” In response, one fan replied, “I love you and hopefully you don’t take this wrong but you were/are definitely beautiful BEFORE THE FACE CHANGE.”
However, Michelle seemed offended by the said person’s tweet. The “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star quoted the tweet and wrote, “I actually feel bad 4people like u. Not mad at all. You make up your own storyline about someone’s life and in a delusion type manner adopt it as truth and dress it up as concern.” She ended her post, “There’s no luv in speaking on things and peoples health u know nothing about.”
After The Jasmine Brand took a screenshot of Michelle’s tweet and reposted it, many Instagram users blasted her in the comment section. “It’s the gaslighting for me. I had to unfollow her. Love the music but she gotta find the beauty within,” one wrote.
“She’s been problematic and still is,” a separate Instagram user commented, while another chimed in, “Wtf does her health have to do with her having an entirely new face.” A different critic added, “This woman changed everything but her attitude.”
One person also criticized Michelle’s response as saying, “So she think we can’t see her appearance has changed, and everyone is making it up.. oh ok.” In the meantime, another penned, “I hate she changed her face. She was gorgeous. She let her low self esteem and insecurities and everything she’s been through affect her judgment.”
This wasn’t the first time Michelle sparked chatter with her appearance. Back in June, many social media users accused her of doing something to her face as she looked different in one of her Instagram posts.
“While I must first say K Michelle has always been beautiful… I can’t ignore the fact that her surgeon SNAPPED,” one Twitter user commented. “A whole new face!!!!” another fan said. “This doesn’t look like you,” one person added, with some others asking, “Who is this?” Meanwhile, someone noted, “It’s the face structure for meeee.”
Michelle then addressed the matter in an Instagram Live session. “Clearly it’s me,” the reality TV star said during the livestream. Explaining herself, she went on to say, “I’ve been this color forever. I’ve clearly been doing a TV show… I’ve been in the studio every day. I don’t know possibly when I would have had time to get a facelift or – in two days when y’all have seen me already on live.”
Michelle then confessed that she was initially planning to ignore the hate comments, though she eventually decided to address it. “At first, I was just like, ‘Oh, okay. Let me just ignore it or whatever ’cause that’s just how people are.’ But you’re f**king bullying somebody,” so she said.
“What if somebody f***kin’ had problems? I’m the person trying to help people with plastic surgery. I haven’t did nothing. I haven’t did nothing to my face. Y’all should stop that,” Michelle continued. She then concluded the live session, “Why are you worried about my face, man? I’m feeling good. I’m looking good.”
