Kanye West has reportedly been barred from performing at the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony over “concerning online behavior”.
The Blast quoted a rep for West as saying that the rapper was informed by the organizers in this regard last week.
West, who is nominated in five categories, was not among the first lineup of performers for the April 3 ceremony announced by the Recording Academy.
West, who recently changed his official name to Ye, was briefly suspended earlier this month from Instagram for violating its policies on hate speech, bullying and harassment.
His account, @kanyewest, was frozen for 24 hours.
One of the deleted posts on the page include repeated racial slurs that West used to caption a screenshot of comedian Trevor Noah‘s Google page.
Noah had discussed the ongoing fallout surrounding West’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian in a segment on “The Daily Show.” West also targeted Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Pete Davidson and Black stand-up comedians D.L. Hughley and Michael Che in his Instagram posts.
Noah is among the hosts for the Grammys.
