Kanye ‘Ye’ West has claimed his estranged wife Kim Kardashian ‘didn’t like’ him wearing his Donald Trump affiliated ‘MAGA’ cap and that he had ’embarrassed’ her with his failed presidential bid in 2020.
In a ‘Thanksgiving prayer’ shared to Instagram on Thursday, the rapper, 44, alleged that Kardashian, 41, was particularly bothered by his South Carolina press conference where he claimed they’d considered aborting their now eight-year-old daughter North
‘Let’s go with politics here. Good Lord, my wife did not like me wearing the red hat. Being a good wife, [Kim] wanted to protect me and our family,’ said West, famously wore the controversial cap in the years leading up to his own presidential campaign.

‘My wife did not like me wearing the red hat’: Kanye shared a five-minute long ‘prayer’ as he made several bombshell revelations
West continued: ‘I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood’s political stance and that was hard for our marriage.
‘Then I ran for president without proper preparation and no allies on either side.
‘I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and only, thank God, press conference,’ he said.
‘All my dad had to say afterwards was, ”write your speech next time son.”
Disapproval: In a lengthy video prayer he shared on Thanksgiving, the rapper, confessed he ‘made his family a target’ by failing to align with ‘Hollywood’s political stance,’ which put strain on his marriage to the star (pictured in November 2019)

What was Kanye’s red cap?
Kanye famously wore the Make American Great Again cap, before ditcing the piece ahead of his failed Presidential campaign in 2020.
The rapper had been an open supporter of Donald Trump, who adopted the slogan for his 2016 Presidential campaign and even visited the White House in 2018.
The slogan became a hugely divisive phrase in the US, used by those both for and against Trump’s election to the White House.
The hat itself became a hugely controversial statement, with some wearers subject to verbal abuse or being refused entry to public establishments.
Some commentators have linked the hat to racially-charged tensions, with professor Sarah Churchwell writing that many Americans recognised the phrase in the same way that America First was adopted in the 1940s.
She said it stems from the idea that ‘the true version of America is the America that looks like me, the American fantasy I imagine existed before it was diluted with other races and other people.’
On July 4 2020, he announced that he no longer supported Trump as he launched his own presidential bid. ‘I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,’ he told Forbes
Following the disastrous press conference, Kim spoke on her husband’s mental health for the very first time in a post shared to her Instagram account on July 22.
‘As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand.
‘I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health,’ Kim’s statement concluded.
Seven months later in February 2021, Kim and Kanye announced that they’d be divorcing after nearly seven year marriage. They share daughters North, eight, Chicago, three, and sons Saint, five, and Psalm, one.
West has previously spoken out in support of Trump and wore a Make America Great Again hat when he visited the White House in 2018.
In a rambling speech to Trump and reporters in the Oval Office, he said the former president ‘is on his hero’s journey’. West told Trump, ‘I love you,’ as he came around to give him a hug.
Kanye first formally met then president-elect Trump in December 2016 on a visit to Trump Tower in New York.
But last year on July 4, he announced that he no longer supported Trump as he launched his own presidential bid. ‘I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,’ he told Forbes, although it was unclear whether Trump’s handling of the pandemic – which Kayne called ‘one big mess’ – may also have been a reason.
He also said it was wrong to assume that black people will always vote for Democrats. ‘To say that the Black vote is Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy,’ he claimed.
The rapper has denied claims that he is being used by Trump to siphon black votes from the Democrats with his presidential bid last year.
Reports at the time said that in return Trump had ‘kind words for West, but also said he had ‘loony tendencies’.’
Continuing on with his prayer, West appeared to address the reported $14.4 million he lost orchestrating his failed Kanye 2020 campaign by admitting to his listeners that he ‘spent money like crazy.
‘It’s the craziest thing I’ve done and I’ve done a lot of crazy things,’ said the star, who then labeled himself ‘the priest of my home’ and vowed to ‘watch my own money and secure our finances’ going forward.
Running as an independent, West only appeared on the presidential ballot in 12 of the 50 states and raked in a measly 0.04% of national votes, according to NBC.
A target: West previously supported Donald Trump (pictured in 2018) before deciding to run for President himself in 2020, saying in an interview he was ‘taking the red hat off’
Democratic candidate Joe Biden would take the election, officially dethroning Republican candidate and then sitting president Donald Trump
West said he’d written Thursday’s prayer while on the way back from taking his ‘mini me’ son Saint to his ‘first football game’.
The five-year-old ‘got to play catch with Tom Brady before the game,’ something West deemed ‘a god’s dream.’
He described Saint as ‘a mix of two of my favorite things: me and my wife’s face.’
At the mere mention of Kim, Kanye told his listeners that ‘all I think about everyday is how I get my family back together and how I can heal the pain that I’ve caused.
‘I take accountability for my actions. The one thing that all my successes and failures have in common is me.’
He then went on to list his alcohol use, irregularly medicated manic episodes, inflated ego, short temper, and ‘self righteous’ Christian behavior as reasons for his personal downfall, as well as the destruction of his family.
West admitted he ‘would drink to take the stress away to knock the edge off,’ but drinking eventually ‘affected my health and the health of people around me because I already had a hair trigger temper and this just heightened it.’
Kanye then revealed that he ‘went into a manic episode in 2016 and I was placed under heavy medication’ – something that has affected him til this day.
‘Since then I went on and off the medication which left me susceptible to other episodes which my wife and family and fans have had to endure.
‘My ego has a tendency to go past the threshold of being motivating and entertaining to just being overbearing. There are ways to show confidence without arrogance.
On his mind: ‘All I think about everyday is how I get my family back together and how I can heal the pain that I’ve caused,’ confessed West, who split from Kardashian (pictured 2014) in February, seven months after his bombshell press conference
On the topic of his temper, Kanye revealed that he has a tendency to ‘scream’ at others and that ‘screaming might have helped me tell off everyone who doubted me in music but that screaming did not help me keep my family together’
Last but not least, West said he previously exhibited ‘self righteous Christian behavior’ that fueled his arrogance and made him verbally combative with those around him.
‘When I got saved it did not immediately make me a better person, it made me a self righteous Christian.
‘Mix that with being rich, famous, and very very very very very very attractive and you got a molotov cocktail ready to be thrown through the window of anyone who ever disagreed with me
‘I was arrogant with my Jesus like I just got some Jesus at the Gucci story with a stimulus check.’
He concluded the lengthy prayer by reinforcing the need for personal ‘accountability’ and by expressing his gratitude towards Kim for their family.
‘I’ve had to learn that I had to take accountability. We always judge and tell other people what they should do but we can only take accountability for ourselves and our children.
‘This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for the family that my wife has given me. I’m thankful for the life that God has given me. And I’m thankful for your time, attention, and patience. In Jesus name, amen.’
The long form prayer comes just one day after he professed that God would reunite him and his estranged wife as he admitted he’d made ‘mistakes’ in his marriage.
West spoke out about his marriage as he appeared at the Los Angeles Mission to deliver 1,000 meals to Skid Row ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
‘The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships,’ the Grammy-winner said, according to Page Six. ‘We’ve made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes.’
He continued: ‘I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason – I didn’t know I was going to be in front of this mic – but I’m here to change the narrative.’
Kanye spoke out on the status of the relationship as Kardashian’s new romance with Pete Davidson continues to make headlines.
Kanye, referencing the Kardashian family’s reality TV franchise, told those in attendance, ‘I’m not letting E! write the narrative of my family. I’m not letting Hulu write the narrative of my family … I am the priest of my home.’
West, who shares four children with Kardashian, said that parenting remains his most important priority amid the tumultuous time.

‘I have to be next to my children as much as possible,’ he said. ‘So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation.’
The Grammy-winner added, ‘I’m trying to express this in the most sane way, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back home.’
In his speech, West also spoke about the huge influence he and his estranged wife have on the public, and alluded to economic inequalities the country faces.
‘If the enemy can separate Kimye, there’s going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is ok,’ he said, ‘but when God brings Kimye together, there’s going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma the devil has used to capitalize to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store.’
An attendee told Page Six that the musical superstar’s appearance came ‘under the radar,’ and that he also spoke about ambitions he has for the mission.
The insider said West ‘had never been there and wanted to see everything going on,’ and ‘talked about saving the world and how he had all these ideas to work with LA Mission.’

Kanye also said he saw Kim and their children that day: ‘This Thanksgiving is all about restoring the families. Restore Thanksgiving. This morning I felt so blessed to wake up, do a workout, and be able to drive to my house, and see my wife and my kids. That’s right, I said my wife, and my children, and I want everyone to pray for my family to keep our family whole.’
At the event, the famed musical artist donned a black leather jacket over a black top with designer jeans, accessorizing with a black cap and large black boots.
West spoke out days after Kardashian and Pete Davidson, 28, were seen together for a romantic dinner at the luxe restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, with Davidson sporting what appeared to be a hickey on his neck. The pair departed the upscale establishment in his Lamborghini SUV.
In the wake of Kardashian’s divorce filing this past February, West has been romantically linked to models Irina Shayk, 35, and Vinetria, 22.
Meanwhile, Kim’s new flame Pete has previously been romantically involved with a slew of celebrities including Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor, Kate Beckinsale, and his former fiancé Ariana Grande.
Ariana once famously gave Pete a very naughty reputation by commenting on the size of his manhood in a Twitter exchange, which popularized the phrase ‘big d**k energy’ or ‘BDE.’
A source close to Kim exclusively told DailyMail.com recently that Pete is ‘very aggressive’ with her as he often ‘grabs her waist, compliments her butt and touches her hair’ when they are together.
‘He is extremely sexual and in her face. He is making it crystal clear he likes her,’ the confidant said.
‘He definitely is not being aloof or playing coy, he is just going for it. And she seems to be loving the attention. It’s nice to see her happy.’
Rumors of a possible romance were first sparked when the two kissed during an early October SNL skit as she played Princess Jasmine and he portrayed Aladdin, and while initial reports claimed they are just friends, fans believed something more significant was brewing.
Pete — whose exes also include Margaret Qualley and Kaia Gerber — made light of the dating rumors while promoting his new show, The Freak Brothers, on Late Night with Seth Meyers earlier this month.
‘I want to address something. I feel like I want to confirm if it’s real,’ Seth said, referring to his various sightings with Kim.
Cutting in, Pete joked: ‘There’s a lot of people I walk by, people are like whispering, and, you know, making eyes at me. And, you know, but it is true. I do have a show on Tubi coming out.’
A look back at Kim Kardashian’s love life
As the reality star is linked to SNL funnyman Pete Davidson, DailyMail.com takes a look back at Kim Kardashian’s relationship history and her celebrity romances.
Damon Thomas (2000-2004)
At just 19, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star married producer Damon Thomas, who is ten years her senior. Their short-lived marriage only three years before she filed for divorce, which she later revealed to be quite turbulent as he allegedly subjected her to physical abuse.
The KKW Beauty mogul, who admitted to being high on ecstasy when they eloped during a chat with Scott Disick back on her reality show in 2018, claimed in divorce papers he ‘punched’ her, to which he has denied.
She also accused him of slamming her against a wall and throwing ‘throw her across the room, leaving her bruised and battered.’ Additionally, he reportedly made her quit her job, according to their divorce papers, which were filed at Los Angeles Superior Court back in 2003.

Ray J (2003 to 2006)
Just one year after her divorce, she began a relationship with singer Ray J after working as a stylist for his sister. While the pair’s relationship only spanned less than three years, it remains one of her most notable romances as a sex tape of them leaked, which propelled her to stardom.
Despite never initially suing Vivid Entertainment to prevent its release, they came to an agreement and settled for a ‘financial arrangement’ the company’s co-chairman told TMZ, at the time.
While the former couple have rarely spoken about their relationship, Ray J described Kim as ‘the same kind of player’ as him and they they ‘were both cheaters’ on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
Three years together: She and Ray J dated on and off from 2002 to 2006 (seen together in March 2006)
Nick Lachey (2006)
Next, she began seeing Nick Lachey, who stated in 2019 they were never serious. While speaking of their ‘one date together’ to watch The Da Vinci Code in 2006, the ex-husband of Jessica Simpson said calling her an ex of his would be ‘a little bit of a liberal use of the term.’
‘She left about halfway through and went to the restroom and then shockingly there were 25 paparazzi when we left the theater,’ he said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. I ‘think there were other things in play on our little rendezvous.’
Regardless, he said Kim couldn’t have been ‘a nicer girl’ and they had a ‘great time.’

Kim Kardashian and Nick Cannon (2006 to 2007)
Despite describing the mother-of-four as ‘one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet,’ they ended things over a discussion about her sex tape, which he claims Kim denied entirely.
During an interview on The Howard Stern Show, the ex-husband of Mariah Carey said: ‘This was my issue. We talked about this tape…And she told me there was no tape.’
‘The fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape?’ he said was his deal-breaker. ”I still think she might have even had a part to play with [its release].’

Reggie Bush (2007 to 2010)
Kim and the NFL star were on-and-off from 2007 until 2010, as her fame rose on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Despite a promising romance, they ultimately parted ways because they weren’t able to spend enough time together.
Toward the end of their relationship, he made the decision as Kim began ‘pushing for marriage’ after seeing younger sister tie the knot with then-husband Lamar Odom, according to RadarOnline.com.
At the time, he reportedly told her that he wants a wife ‘that is a support system to him’ and ‘stay at home mom to his children.’ Knowing her ‘drive and ambition,’ Bush knew she was ‘just not the right kind of girl for him to marry.’

Miles Austin (June 2010)
Kim and Miles Austin embarked on a brief summer romance, which fizzled out pretty quickly due to long distance.
Most of their relationship was spent apart due to his schedule with the Dallas Cowboys and hers to filming KUWTK. By September, they mutally went ‘their separate ways,’ according to People.
A week before the breakup, however, they were said to be ‘the real deal’ and stronger than ever, which raised eyebrows.

Kris Humphries (2010)
Kim infamously wed basketball star Kris Humphries for 72 days in 2011.
During the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion, which aired in June 2021, she admitted to having cold feet the night before the wedding, but felt it was too late to back out.
The aspiring lawyer said she feared that if she left that she would be known forever as the runaway bride and that ‘it will be a huge joke.’
She then confessed that the TV wedding did push her down the aisle as she didn’t want to ‘let everyone down.’
Humphries, evangelical Christian, petitioned for an annulment after Kardashian filed divorce papers because he felt defrauded.

Kanye West (2012-2021)
In February, Kim filed for divorce after six years of marriage from the father of her four children North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and two-year-old Psalm.
They had reportedly been living separately for some time and have plans to share legal and physical custody of their youngsters.
A source also confirmed to DailyMail.com that Kim has filed for divorce. ‘The split is amicable and there is no drama,’ the insider shared.
The tension reportedly started in July 2020 when he decided to run for President of the United States and ranted he wanted North aborted, but Kim refused. He also called Kim’s mother Kris Jenner ‘Kris Jong Un.’
