Kate Garraway doesn't do things by halves, because today she managed to transport the 6ft, full-standing family Christmas tree all the way home in her car boot.
Over on Instagram, she documented the struggle of five "exasperated shop workers", four "helpful neighbours", three "frazzled parents" and two "over-excited kids" as the family set up their green yuletide beast and got ready for Christmas.
Next to photos of the different stages, Kate, 55, wrote: "So they say it takes a village to raise a child .. but how many does it take to "raise" a Christmas tree. Well in my case (altogether now sing along [musical note emojis]) … "5 exasperated shop workers, 4 helpful neighbours , 3 frazzled parents , 2 over excited kids & NOT a partridge in a pear tree , but a #peugeot308sw with a surprisingly large boot.
"Even my own mother didn't believe I could get a 6 foot tree in but I knew my Percy Peugeot wouldn't let me down!!
"So worth it to see the kids so happy – at last ready for #christmas – well "ish" . #pluginhybrid #peugeotuk #itreallyisbeginningtolookalotlikechristmas," she finished her post off with.
Kate's fanbase were loving this amusing insight in the comment section.
"Awww, beautiful photos, beautiful family. Merry Christmas", replied one, while two more shared: "Your tree looks beautiful hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas and hopefully a wonderful new year!" and "You are just one awesome inspirational lady Kate – much love to you all!"
"@kategarraway You're a little trooper! Your strength inspires me to do better. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family xx," noted a fourth person.
This time of the year is especially challenging for Kate's family, given husband Derek Draper's ongoing health battle after contracting coronavirus in 2020.
“You know, it is an onslaught — it is a long onslaught," Kate recently admitted while stopping by ITV's Lorraine.
"I can see he has better days; he has worse days — he's thankfully at home now. It's been a long battle to get him back home again. I think it's very tough on him but it's very tough on the people around me.
"I can't help think all the people around me, people at GMB and radio as well, must be fed up to the back teeth," she went on to say, with colleague Ben Shephard sat beside her.
"That is the problem I think if you are caring or have a long-term situation."
