Kate Lawler has shared how she had to go to hospital with a mystery illness.
The star revealed that she needed to “make some changes” after the hospital trip and called it a wake-up call.
The 41 year old Virgin Radio presenter shared a photo of herself on a train wearing a face mask to her Instagram story as she explained her “strange” experience the day before.
Although she did not disclose her reason for needing to go to the hospital, Kate wrote: "Yesterday was pretty strange. Long story but I ended up in hospital.
"Got home at 9pm and feeling much better today. I need to make some changes in order to feel better, both mentally and physically.
"But it's easy to forget to look after yourself when you're juggling so much. Still, it's given me a wake up call."
She concluded by telling fans: "I hope you're all doing okay today”.
Kate rose to fame in 2002 by winning Channel 4's Big Brother and went on to appear in the early celebrity version of Love Island in 2006, before moving into presenting work.
She welcomed her daughter Noa in 2021, however recently recalled the "dark times" she has experienced during her first year of motherhood on social media.
Last month, she took to Instagram to share a collection of adorable snaps in order to mark her daughter Noa's first birthday.
Kate, who shares Noa with her fiancé Martin, first posted a gushing tribute to her daughter, where she thanked "everyone who helped us get through the first year of motherhood."
The star shared several photographs of herself during her final days of pregnancy, as well as pictures taken on the day she gave birth in 2021
A few hours later, she returned to her Instagram account to share a second post marking Noa's birthday, but this time Kate wrote a lengthy caption detailing the struggles she's faced during her first year as a mum.
The star wrote: "The Handsome and I are having a glass of bubbly to celebrate surviving the first year of parenthood and I just want to say if you’re a new parent and wondering how the heck you’re supposed to get through the next 24 hours, we’re living proof you can.
“While not all parents find the first year difficult, we certainly did and there were some terribly dark times with me feeling like we’d made a huge mistake and that we’d never be happy again."
Kate explained how things got better eventually, and she added: "But alongside the toughest days have been the most magical moments which have made my heart want to explode, watching Noa grow so rapidly into this incredible little one year old girl, believe me when I say things do eventually get better. It just takes time… (for some).
"I’m knackered all the time, I’ve aged a hundred years, my relationship with Boj has been tested more this year than ever before and there are still days when I cry and I miss my old life but I can’t ever imagine a life without Tayto and cherish every morning I wake up knowing that her little smiling face is waiting for me the other side of the bedroom wall."
The star finished off the lengthy caption by adding: "If you need a hug or reassurance you can do this thing called parenting, you 100% can and you’re doing the most amazing job so keep going, try and stay positive, it won’t be like this forever. It can get better….", alongside three red heart emojis.
