She's never been one to shy away from speaking her truth, and now Katie Price has candidly admitted to 'planning her suicide' last year after reaching rock bottom.

The mum-of-five, who has bagged a new three-part documentary series to train how to be a pandemic, said she decided to seek help and couldn't follow through with her plans because of her children.

Speaking about her mental health struggles on BBC Northern Ireland's Nolan Live, the 42 year old was asked by host Stephen Nolan how she manages to stay strong through everything that lif throws at her.

She responded: "You just have to get on with it. I went to The Priory last year, because I had a lot of things to deal with, and I think speaking to a therapist just helps you prepare for it.

"I say to anyone out there, if you aree suffering with mental health, and this pandemic doesn't help, just talk to someone – if you're feeling low, talk to someone."

Stephen then asked Katie: "Do you mind opening up about your mental health? What was crunch point for you."

The reality star explained: "I wanted to commit suicide. I planned it, did everything… everything was on top of me, it was a build up.

"I'm only human, I'm strong but there's only so much you can take and I could have either committed suicide or got help."

The former glamour model shared that her children, Harvey, 18, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and six year old Bunny, that made her decide to seek help.

"Every time I went to do it I thought: 'I can't, I've got kids, sort yourself out', so I asked for help, got help, and I stuck to it," Katie expressed.

"I went to The Priory for five weeks and I'm a brand new person now."

Using her own struggles to help others, she added: "Don't be afraid to speak, too many people out there commit suicide because they're afraid."

Katie, who was left fuming after a woman sent racy messages to her boyfriend Carl Woods, also recently revealed she hasn't touched any alcohol in a year after her Priory stint.

Speaking on FUBAR Radio, she divulged: "Since I've been out of The Priory, I have not drunk anything.

"And now I've forgotten what it's like to drink, and that's not like me because I'm quite sociable and stuff.

"And then obviously I was into the coke because I was self-medicating," Katie shared.
