Katie Price has been handed an 18-month community order at Lewes Crown Court to carry out 170 hours of unpaid work after admitting breaching a restraining order.
The reality TV star, 43, was charged with breaching a restraining order after she sent a foul-mouthed message, calling her ex husband Kieran Hayler's fiancée Michelle Penticost a "gutter s**g" in a text to him.
The glamour model pleaded "not guilty" to the charges while at Crawley Magistrates Court on Wednesday 27 April, later admitting the charge.
And after attending her hearing this morning, where she was heard to have shouted "suck my d**k" to one reporter outside the courthouse, she was handed a community order by the judge.
Katie's solicitor Nicholas Hamblin told the court his client had pleaded guilty to the breach but she had been under a “misunderstanding” that the restraining order “worked both ways” as he spoke during the hearing.
The star's representative also said there was an element of “provocation” and she had been “over-reacting as she felt she was being criticised”.
“She has shown signs of remorse, she accepts an indirect breach," Mr Hamblin said, going on to tell the court Katie had been seeking help for mental health and emotional issues at the Priory Clinic.
He said she suffered from a “depressive disorder and anxiety”, going on to say that the reality star is "learning to cope with her emotional problems and to not react in the way she has in this case".
"She has two different personalities, the public one and the vulnerable one of being in the public eye and every day in the public eye no matter what she does," he continued. "It’s perhaps a case of building someone up only to knock them down."
Katie's lawyer added that “there was a lot of good to be said” for the star and she was considered in a probation report to be at “low risk of reoffending”.
Also during the hearing, in a victim impact statement read to the court Michelle told how the impact of the restraining order breach by Katie had a “devastating effect” on her mental wellbeing.
She said: “The impact of what Katie has done is very upsetting, I feel threatened and intimidated. I feel demoralised and not wanting to go out. The language used made me feel scared. I felt it was an attack on me.
“The consequences are I feel she will attack me," the mum-of-two continued. "I felt by having a restraining order it would make me feel safe but by someone breaching it it has made me feel very vulnerable.”
Katie was arrested on Friday 21 January and questioned at Worthing Police Station over allegations she breached a restraining order, meaning she is not allowed to contact Kieran's fiancée Michelle. She was held in custody for 12 hours following the arrest.
A Sussex Police spokesperson confirmed to the Mirror at the time: "On Friday, January 21, officers arrested a woman on suspicion of breaching a restraining order.
"Katie Price, 43, has since been charged with harassment — breach of a restraining order. She will appear at Crawley magistrates' court on Tuesday, April 12."
The sentencing was then delayed to June.
In the text, Katie told her ex-husband, whom she shares children Jett, eight, and Bunny, six, with: "Tell your c****** w***e, piece of s**t, girlfriend not to start on me.
"She has a restraining order so shouldn't try to antagonise me as she is in breach and I'm sure she doesn't want people knowing that she was having an affair with you behind my back. That gutter s**g."
Katie was handed a five-year restraining order in 2019 after swearing at Michelle in the school playground.
She is forbidden from contacting 35 year old Kieran's fiancée "directly or indirectly".
At her last hearing, Katie was warned by a judge she was "at risk" of going to prison.
The star was arrested at her home in West Sussex in January, and spent 12 hours in police custody.
Following her conviction in 2019, Katie made a statement outside the court, where she said: "Today I pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct not threatening anyone as the media are saying.

"In fact, I have never been charged with any form of threatening behaviour. I did swear but the rest is just exaggerated nonsense."
Prior to her sentencing today, Katie managed to avoid jail in December 2021 after she was involved in a car crash near her home in Sussex as she overturned her BMW in September.
Katie was banned from driving when she got behind the wheel and was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
