Katie Price plots huge career comeback with ‘£60k panto deal’

Katie Price would be the first to admit she’s had a tough few years, but she’s determined to come back with a bang.

Fresh from her break-up with Carl Woods, we can reveal that Katie is kicking off 2023 by throwing herself into work projects – and has just signed a huge panto deal.

“Katie has decided she wants to focus on her career this year,” a source told us. “She wants to make this year one of the best ever.

“She has a range of new projects and businesses that she’s working on, and she’s got an accessories business in the pipeline, too. But she’s most excited about landing a massive role in a pantomime.”

Our source continued: “Katie loves to sing and perform, and panto is something she’s always been a fan of, so this is a dream come true. Katie’s pantomime deal is worth around £60,000, so she’s super happy about that, too!”

Katie, 44, played the Wicked Fairy in Sleeping Beauty in 2015, and hinted at her desire to return to the stage, sharing on Instagram Stories in December: Omg I would so do panto again.”

Katie – mum to Harvey, 20, Junior, 17, Princess, 15, Jett, nine, and eight-year-old Bunny – has a busy 2023. As she gears up for the return of her Channel 4 show, Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion, she is also juggling several businesses – including her bath range, Scented By Katie Price, her make-up collection, By Katie Price, and clothing line, KP Equestrian.

The ex-glamour model also has her OnlyFans account, and regularly works with brands such as Unique Hair Extensions and JYY London clothing.

Katie, who was declared bankrupt in 2019 having built an empire worth £45 million, previously told us she had major plans for a career comeback. Speaking to us new in 2020, she admitted she wanted to “make my empire bigger than it’s ever been”.

And earlier this month, she asked her Instagram followers: “Shall I make a comeback and create my empire again?”

It comes as Katie is embracing single life following her split from former fiancé Carl. He announced they were calling it quits in November as he took to Instagram Stories and claimed Katie admitted she had “cheated” on him and “slept with somebody else”.

While the pair appeared to be on and off for weeks afterwards, Katie has since vowed to remain single. Writing on Instagram Stories, she admitted she was “flattered” by the amount of DMs she’s received from men, but added: “I’m not replying or getting into any conversation because I want to focus on my work, children, family and myself.”

Katie has also spoken about getting her life back on track after being involved in a drink- drive crash near her West Sussex home in September 2021. The star, who underwent therapy at the Priory clinic, received a 16-week suspended sentence and a two-year driving ban.

She later said: “I’ve decided to see a therapist every week for the rest of my life. Mental health is cruel, people don’t understand it, you can’t see it. I need help.”

Our source added Katie is now feeling positive and “can’t wait to get back to business and do what she does best”.

Last week, Katie also announced a new “adventure” she’s working on, as she told fans she’s selling framed underwear. “Through the years I have literally bags and bags of underwear. Bras, knickers, suspender belts, stockings, you name it, I’ve got it,” she said.

She revealed she’d be offering framed and signed full sets for £350, framed and signed individual lingerie for £100, plus signed books for £35 and personal messages for £50.
