Katie Price says son Harvey destroyed hotel room by smearing blood on sheets

Katie Price has revealed she was left with a huge damages bill after her son Harvey "destroyed" a hotel room.

The 43 year old, who recently shared she's reading PTSD and therapy books after leaving The Priory, explained in her new book Harvey and Me that her son "kicked off" nearly every day while on a family holiday earlier this year.

The mum-of-five enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Saint Lucia with her 19 year old son Harvey alongside her daughter Princess, 14, who she shares with ex Peter Andre, and her fiancé Carl Woods.

While their time abroad was a success in many ways, a damages bill at the end put a twist on their holiday on the Eastern Caribbean island.

"The last time we went away, I took him to Saint Lucia for a family holiday. We had an interconnecting room and it was beautiful," Katie explained in her book.

She went on to explain that Harvey, who is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome, wrecked his hotel room.

The TV personality said: "But Harvey absolutely destroyed it. He put loads of holes in the walls because he kicked off almost every day.

"He also has a habit of picking the skin on his leg until it bleeds and then he wipes the blood on the wall and all over the bed sheets."

Katie, who is reportedly "rushing to marry Carl" amid fears she could go to jail before Christmas, added: "It’s a sensory thing for him. I had to tell the hotel that I’d pay for the damage – and it’s not cheap."

This isn't the first time Harvey's complex conditions has impacted the family as Princess also wrote in the book on how sometimes Harvey will "go for" her younger siblings Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven, in order to make them cry.

The teenager explained: "Harvey loves the sound of crying, so sometimes he can purposely go for Jett and Bunny just to make them cry."

Princess added that Harvey "can't help" what he does, explaining: "Obviously he can’t help it and he’s not doing it to purposely hurt them, he just enjoys the noise of it."

She added that Harvey would do the same with her when she was younger. Princess explained: "He used to do that to me when I was younger, too. I can’t really remember what it was like when I was really young, but when I was about seven, he used to try and hit me. "

The youngster then added: "It’s because he used to hear me and Junior play fighting together when we were younger, so he worked out that if he hit me it would make me cry. He can be really clever."

Princess has a strong bond with her older brother Harvey and revealed she has previously cut friends off for "taking the mickey" out of him.

She wrote in the book: “He’s actually so innocent and people don’t realise that.”
