Kourtney Kardashian seen with daughter Penelope after her kids missed Travis wedding

Newly-married Kourtney Kardashian has been seen with her nine year old daughter, Penelope Disick, for the first time since she legally married her fiancé, Travis Barker, which Penelope didn’t attend.

Kourtney looked cool and casual for the outing in California, donning a skeleton onesie, favoured by her and her new husband, which she paired with Balenciaga trainers, sunglasses and a hat that read ‘Los Angeles’.

Penelope looked sweet in her uniform from the Sierra Canyon school that she attends with her siblings and cousins including Kim Kardashian's daughter, North West.

Kourtney, 42, and Blink-182 drummer, Travis, 46, officially said ‘I do’ in a downtown courthouse in Santa Barbara on Sunday, although, curiously, neither Kourtney nor Travis’ kids, or any of Kourtney’s famous family were in attendance.

Only recognisably present were Kourtney’s maternal grandmother, Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Campbell, and Travis’ father, Randy, who acted as witnesses to the official union.

It is thought Travis and Kourtney plan to have another ceremony, in which the whole family will be invited to.

Kourtney’s children, Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, were reportedly being taken care of by their father, Scott Disick during their mother’s wedding.

Kourtney’s kids not being in attendance for her wedding on Sunday comes after Penelope, in particular, was upset that she wasn’t invited when Travis proposed to Kourtney in October 2021.

The entire proposal and Kourtney’s kids’ reaction to their mother’s engagement was all filmed and covered for the Kardashian clan’s new Hulu show, The Kardashians.

It was revealed that the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, Kris Jenner, was involved in the planning of Travis’ romantic beach proposal in Montecito, California.

At Travis’ request, he wanted Kourtney’s family to be in attendance to surprise her after the proposal, but Kris made the executive decision to not bring along Kourtney’s children, after she deemed them ‘too young’ to attend, and cited that keeping the engagement a secret from Kourtney’s ex, Scott, would be too difficult.

Kourtney FaceTimed her children to tell her the news, and Penelope, despite having a good relationship with Travis, took it the hardest as she burst into tears and asked her mum to hang up the phone.

In a later confession on the show, Kourtney said that she wished her kids were there and that "it would have made them feel more included in the decision and, like, part of the surprise"- before adding that while her mother "made that decision", she continued that "it probably wasn't her best."
