Kym Marsh attends Pride Of Britain Awards with mum and terminally ill dad

Kym Marsh looked stunning at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2021 which she attended with her parents Dave and Pauline.

Kym revealed earlier this year that herdad had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancerthat had sadly spread to his bones.

The 43 year old later announced that she wastaking a step back from hosting Morning Livewith Gethin Jones to focus on her family.

Keeping her promise of focusing on her family, Kym was spotted out with her parents at the star-studded event Saturday 30 October.

The mum of three stunned in a black bardot jumpsuit, while her parents looked equally as lovely. Her dad wore an open collared white shirt and suit, as her mum attended the awards in an gorgeous embellished V-neck gown.

Kym also attended the awards with her husband Scott Ratcliff, whom she recently married. The happy couple were all smiles and glowing as the posed up a storm at the star-studded event.

For one of their first nights out as a married couple, the pair matched in coordinating black outfits.

At their wedding, Kym's dad walked her down the aisle to give her away.

Describing the special moment with her dad, Kym said: “There were tears when he walked me down the aisle and when I gave him a kiss as he sat down – there were lots of tears surrounding my dad that day.”

“I wanted him to walk me and he managed to do the entire length of the aisle, which I didn’t expect him to do,” she added.

Revealing what she and her dad spoke about on the long car journey from Warrington to Sandhurst, Kym explained that her dad said she looked beautiful, and spoke of his and her mum’s love of Scott.

“I held his hand and we had a chat. He said I looked beautiful. Both he and mum were so excited,” she recalled.

“He said it’s the wedding they couldn’t wait for as they adore Scott, and he was happy to give me away to him.”

The former Coronation Street star also revealed to OK! that her dad received a standing ovation even before his speech on her special day "because of the courage and strength it took him to do the job he did that day".
