After it was revealed Kym Marsh's dad has cancer, the brunette beauty's beloved father has said he wants to live long enough to walk her down the aisle at her wedding.
The former Coronation Street star's dad was diagnosed with incurable prostrate cancer after delaying a check-up during the pandemic.
Now the 76 year old has said he wants to be able to walk his daughter down the aisle after she got engaged to boyfriend Scott last week.
He told The Sun: "My biggest hope is the treatment keeps working and gives me more time with my family.
"I want to be fit and well enough to walk Kym down the aisle after she recently got engaged.
"It's something to look forward to, and making sure I'm there means the world to me," Dave explained.
"I've been very lucky because I have a wonderful family who support me, and that's a huge help."
Kym, 45, exclusively revealed the news of her dad's diagnosis to OK! and sadly admitted the cancer has now spread to his bones.

The actress has previously praised the NHS several times for helping herself and her family members, including David, after he suffered two heart attacks.
During his first heart attack, Kym said she lost her father for three-and-a-half minutes before he was brought back to life.
"The NHS saved my dad's life, they saved my daughter's life, they saved my son's life, and they saved my life, I am forever in their debt," she shared with Manchester Evening News.
Kym also credited the NHS for saving her own life following the loss of her son Archie.
“They are the reason that I am here alive today,” she added.
"They got me through the most horrendous experience of my life when my son Archie passed away just minutes after being born in February 2009.
“Even when the doctors and nurses knew there wasn't any hope of saving his life they never stopped giving their all to care for me, both physically and mentally.”
The sad news comes after Kym announced Scott popped the question to her over the weekend on her birthday.
"I'm absolutely over the moon – I can't believe it," she told OK! after saying yes to her fiance.
"It's been the best birthday surprise ever. I can't stop smiling!"
