The ‘Laugh Now Cry Latter’ rhymer has been forced to pull out of his scheduled shows across Europe and the ESPY Awards after he was admitted to the hospital on July 6.
AceShowbiz –Lil Durk is in recovery after a sudden health scare. The rapper/singer/songwriter has revealed that he was recently hospitalized due to severe dehydration and exhaustion and spent the past week in the hospital.
According to TMZ which first reported the news, the 30-year-old checked into the hospital on Thursday, July 6 after falling ill in Ohio. A source close to the situation told the site that the Chicago rapper went to the hospital as a safety measure, but doctors told him the matter was more serious than he and his team realized, and that he needed to be admitted.
Due to the sudden health scare, Durk was forced to miss a series of scheduled shows across Europe and the 2023 ESPY Awards, which took place on Wednesday, July 12 without him. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday, but he’s still not cleared by physicians to return to work in any capacity.
In a statement to TMZ Hip Hop, Durkio said that he still needs time to heal. “My fans mean everything to me, you’re the reason why I do this,” he began addressing his canceled appearances at numerous events. “I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week(end), attending the ESPYs and more but after performing and traveling daily I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion.”
He ended the message with a promise to greet his fans as soon as possible. “Once I get my full energy back, it’s back to business which I’m looking forward to. #StillHealing,” he concluded.
Durk is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud later this month, on July 21. He’s also set to kick off his “Sorry for the Drought” tour later this month with a show in Tampa, Florida. Currently, there is no confirmation if he will be able to return to stage for the scheduled shows.

He has additionally been gearing up for release a deluxe edition of his album “Almost Healed”. Though no official release date has been set, on Wednesday he posted a tweet about the album, claiming it “should [have] been the main album.”
