Lily Allen enjoys mini family reunion with former step-dad Harry Enfield

Lily Allen was seen enjoying a mini family reunion with her former step-dad Harry Enfield.

Catching up, the singer, 35, and comedian Harry, 59, stepped out together in London for a walk around Primrose Hill.

Harry had previously dated Lily’s mum Alison Owen. They were in a relationship for three years when Lily was young and Harry had lived with Alison, Lily and the star’s actor brother Alfie, who played Theon Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones.

Men Behaving Badly star Harry struck up a relationship with Alison, following her split from Lily’s dad Keith Allen in 1989 and while they were only together for a few years, it seems he’s stayed close with Lily.

Harry and the Smile hit-maker were seen in good spirits as they grabbed some fresh air and a coffee to go amid lockdown on Monday.

Giving us all a lesson in how to style up our walking attire, Lily cut a cool figure in a stylish tracksuit, trainers and matching longline coat.

The duo looked deep in conversation on their stroll, with Harry no doubt entertaining Lily, as she was seen laughing away as the pair walked alongside each other.

It’s been said that Harry based his TV series Kevin The Teenager, which led to spin-off movie Kevin & Perry Go Large on Lily and her brother Alfie.

Following his split from Lily’s mum Alison, nearly 30 years ago now, Harry went on to marry ex-wife Lucy Lyster in 1997.

He and Lucy were together for 23 years, but the couple confirmed their split in August, with Harry moving out of the family home.

The couple are parents to three children; son Archie, 23, and daughters Poppy, 21, and Nell, 18.

Harry previously spoke of how his wife had ‘no interest’ in his fame and how he hoped to keep his own children out of the spotlight, after seeing the level of fame Lily has had to deal with over the years.

Speaking on BBC Radio 3, Harry admitted that he doesn’t like to make his personal life public. He said: ‘I got bored of famous me very quickly … I don’t do fame ’cause I don’t do interviews. I don’t do it because I don’t really like talking about my own life very much, in public.’

Reflecting on the attention surrounding Lily, Harry told The Guardian in 2010: ‘It’s like what happened to Lily when she got famous… Suddenly Lily’s bloody everywhere and she’s doing every bloody interview, because you’re told to.

‘You’re young and you do it. It’s only later you get a bit savvy.’

He also addressed the attention he still gets for being a part of Lily’s life growing up, adding that he hoped to keep his own kids out of the public eye.

Harry said: ‘I don’t want my kids talked about. It’s one of the reasons I thought that if I could just make a go of being a writer, that would be good, because I don’t really want my kids growing up with me famous.’

Lily, meanwhile, has said that she likes to be ‘more inclusive’ when it comes to her kids and fame. She is mum to two daughters Ethel, nine, and Marnie, eight, from her first marriage to ex Sam Cooper.

In 2018, Lily told inews that she remembers going on to sets with her parents, but being told to keep a low profile and recalled seeing Harry attending award shows and hoping he would mention her in his acceptance speeches.

‘Popstars would come up and thank their wives and kids and then Harry would come up and I’d be like, “Maybe this time he’ll say thanks to Lily and Alfie,” but it never happened,’ she said.

‘I remember feeling a little bit, not neglected, but you like attention as a kid… I’m a bit more inclusive,’ Lily added, explaining that she now likes to include her daughters as much as she can in her career.

Following her split from her children’s father Sam, Lily has gone on to remarry Stranger Things star David Harbour. The pair secretly tied the knot in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas in September.
