Linda Nolan, 62, has given fans an early Christmas surprise as she took to Twitter to announce some special news. In view of her 11,300 followers, the Nolans star said she had “finally succumbed” and made an Instagram account.
Linda penned: “So… I’ve finally succumbed and officially joined Instagram!
“Go follow me now.”
Linda added a link to her Instagram page, which has already racked up more than 24,000 followers.
The star accompanied the tweet with a photograph of herself sipping on a drink while wearing an elegant sequin dress.
The snap was also shared on her Instagram and is currently the only picture featured on her feed.
Fans of the actress and singer welcomed the news, with one Twitter user saying that “Christmas has come early”.
Linda retweeted a post from CloGoalby, who said: “Yay it’s about time.”
Twitter user @mrs_baking added: “Welcome lass.
“Follow me back for some lighthearted fun and frivolity in verse (and a bit saucy too sometimes).”
@HelenRe38536426 related to Linda, explaining: “I am still trying to sort myself on Instagram!
“Other half opened her bleep Xmas bottle of Hudson gin yesterday for Xmas.

Earlier this year, Linda Nolan launched Hudson’s Passion Fruit & Watermelon Gin.
She named it Hudson’s Gin, in tribute to husband Brian, using his last name.
The drink sold out in just 15 hours of its release, proving to be a huge success among gin lovers.
