A lip-reading expert has revealed what Meghan Markle told Prince Harry as they sat in St Paul's Cathedral ahead of the Queen's Thanksgiving Service on Friday.
To join in with the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the couple made their way to the UK for the first time since they moved to Montecito in California.
Their attendance at the Thanksgiving Service for the Queen is their first public appearance in the UK since stepping back from their duties in 2020, with the couple receiving cheers as they arrived at the venue.
Prince Harry, 37, was spotted chatting with Meghan, 40, and the Archbishop before taking their seats, and lip-reading expert Juliet Sullivan has confirmed what they spoke about.
They told the MailOnline that the Duchess of Sussex was talking about St Paul's Cathedral, complimenting the stunning building.
In particular, Meghan was spotted telling her husband: "I've never been here, it's beautiful."
After finishing their conversation, they made their way to their seats – with Prince Harry offering a warm greeting to his family as he sat down next to Princess Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank.
The prince was spotted making a playful face at his family members, including Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, as he took his seat.
Royal coverage of the event were quick to notice how their place in the cathedral showed how the couple's roles have changed since they stepped down from their royal duties.
Harry's brother, Prince William, 39, and his partner, Kate Middleton, 40, sat on the front row on the left, while Harry and Meghan were sat on the opposite side, one row behind the front row.
This is because the seating order was determined by working royal status, with the Earl and Countess of Wessex, as well as their children, sitting in front of them.
But the pair looked happy to be home as they arrived, with the couple and their children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, reportedly enjoying time with the Queen ahead of Lilibet's first birthday on June 4.
The family-of-four have been staying at Frogmore Cottage, just a ten-minute walk away from the Queen's private apartments at Windsor Castle.
Despite being the centre of attention for the Platinum Jubilee, the Queen has had to step back from two appearances across the bank holiday weekend due to ongoing mobility issues.
The monarch reportedly suffered "discomfort" during the Trooping of the Colour and flypast on Thursday, meaning she was unable to attend the thanksgiving service on Friday, as well as the Epson Derby on Saturday.
