TV presenter Lizzie Cundy has opened up on how she's been supporting her good friend Rylan Clark after his split from husband Dan Neal during the Together for Short Lives’ Ball on Tuesday 9 November.
The star-studded red carpet event saw a number of celebrities support the event, sponsored by M&S Food and in partnership with OK!.
During a chat with OK! Lizzie gushed over her friend and said 33 year old Rylan is one of the “loveliest” people you could ever meet.
"We've known each other a long time. I will always support Rylan, he's one of the loveliest people you'll ever meet,” the 53 year old star said.
“I’m part of the family, he doesn't know it yet…" she then joked.
When asked if she's a "shoulder to cry on" for Rylan Lizzie reflected on her history with the former X Factor contestant, and said they’ve “always” been there for each other.
"Well you know what? Me and Rylan have always been there for each other over the years. He's gorgeous and I'm a friend, a very good friend,” Lizzie went on.
“As I said, I'm family. I'm like that aunty that will not go. So I'm there."
Lizzie also opened up on the hilarious morning after Rylan’s raucous birthday party last month, which saw the It Takes Two host throw a fabulous bash at his lavish home.
Lizzie ended up staying the night and Rylan filmed the hilarious moment he found her coming out of the bathroom in the morning.
Both were hungover and still in the clothes from the night before.
“I was the guest that never left,” Lizzie laughed. “We had great fun and I didn't really want to go home.”
The Together for Short Lives’ Ball aimed to raise £300,000 to allow families caring for children with life limiting conditions to make the most of the time they have together.
The Together For Short Lives' Ball was sponsored by M&S Food and held in partnership with OK!.
The organisation is an umbrella charity working for services and professionals working across children’s palliative care.
They hope to give children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions the most fulfilling lives possible.
