Lizzo recently dropped a “Bad Day” version of her song “Pink” from the soundtrack for Barbie.
Lizzo’s “Pink” is the movie’s opening number, while a darker version of the song plays during the movie when Margot Robbie‘s Barbie character experiences an existential crisis in the film.
However, this particular version was not included in Barbie The Album. This version has now been released to streaming services, in the form of “Pink (Bad Day).”
“When I wake up in my own pink world / I get up outta bed and wave to my homegirls,” Lizzo sings in the opening verse.
Following the premiere of Barbie last weekend, a special edition of the soundtrack titled Barbie The Album: Best Weekend Ever Edition was released, featuring Ryan Gosling‘s cover of Matchbox 20‘s “Push” and Brandi Carlile and Caroline Carlile‘s cover of Indigo Girls‘ “Closer To Fine.”
