Lord Alan Sugar, 74, has put his bad blood with Piers Morgan, 56, to one side in order to get him to help out with his plan to oust Boris Johnson from his role as Prime Minister. The Apprentice star took to Twitter to hit out at Johnson amid controversy surrounding the Conservatives allegedly throwing a Christmas party during the coronavirus lockdown last year.
However, Lord Sugar’s concerns were mainly surrounding the impact of the PM’s Plan B rules for England, which were announced last night, to combat the Omicron Covid variant.
From the end of this week and into next, face masks will be required in more public settings, the NHS Covid Pass will be required to enter some events and venues, and people will be asked to work from home where possible.
Lord Sugar shared his fears for small businesses this month due to the new Covid rules being implemented.
As a result, he called on the assistance of his frenemy Piers to help promote his campaign with his own 7.9 million Twitter following.
Lord Sugar wrote in view of his 5.2 million followers yesterday evening: “Come on Piersy join me in a Boris out campaign.
“We are all going to be on our knees soon businesses will collapse and people will be put of work. @piersmorgan.”
Fans took to the comments section of the businessman’s post to share their thoughts.
Twitter user A S wrote: “Small businesses are still recovering from the first lockdown, the majority received absolutely zero financial support but gained increased debt. The government that pledged to be the gov for business continue to kick them when down.”
Jo McQueen argued: “And who will take his place? It will just get worse.”
Pridgers asked: “Are you speaking as a Lord or a Businessman?”
Suzie Soo commented: “Morgan wants lockdown. Waste of time asking him.”
Gary wondered: “Are you friends again?”

Piers recently revealed he and Lord Sugar had settled their differences after 20 months of not speaking.
The journalist and The Apprentice star had been friends for 25 years before arguments erupted in early 2020.
Sugar had branded Morgan a “shameful, irresponsible, exploitative, hypocritical martyr and disgrace”.
He compared the former Good Morning Britain host to Donald Trump in “shouting down and abusing anyone whose opinion he doesn’t like”.
Piers hit back by calling him a “selfish, stupid, privileged billionaire”.
However, Piers received an email from Lord Sugar last month, which marked the end of their feud.
“Lord Sugar and I both love a good scrap, but it was time to end our feud,” he stated in his column for the Daily Mail.
Unfortunately, their spat seemed to have been reignited after Piers’ beloved Arsenal’s defeat to Everton earlier this week.
It came after Piers hit out at Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta following the loss, tweeting: “This is why I don’t think Arteta is good enough to be Arsenal manager.
“We’ve been completely outplayed by a side that hasn’t won for 8 matches. Dreadful.”
Lord Sugar then rubbed salt in the wound, as he fired back: “You have been very quiet over Arsenal performance.
“Maybe you should apologise to Wenger and beg him to come back. I am sure you will convince him if you get down on your knees.”
Piers argued in response: “Arsenal fans want Wenger back as manager as much as Spurs fans want you back as owner/chairman…”
