Cara De La Hoyde was excited to show off her new teeth after embarking on a trip to Turkey to have them done.
The 31 year old beamed whilst sharing glimpses of her bright white smile on Instagram Stories in a clip as she said: "I've got my new teeth. See you soon Nathan”, referring to her husband Nathan Massey.
Cara spent the past few days also enjoying a break away without the two children she shares with Nathan, soaking up the sun as she looked forward to her dental treatment at Dental Centre Turkey.
The Love Island star admitted that she was “a little bit gutted to be coming home from paradise” following her trip, but was clearly happy to show off the results from her dental procedure.
Cara had her teeth done before, back in 2016, and recalled the experience as quite painful as she opened up to fans on Instagram Stories on Monday.
“I experienced a lot of pain down to having my gums shaved so it was a lot more work,” she wrote.
Cara revealed during a Q&A on the platform that she had the recent procedure after her “gum health” deteriorated following pregnancy. She said: “During both pregnancies the health of my gums changed which caused so many issues.
“So I went back because of this. I also thought my old teeth were a bit too horsey. Now I’m abit older I wanted them abit smaller and much more natural.”
The mum-of-two explained that she went to Turkey for the dental procedure, which consisted of her having her top and bottom veneers replaced, as it was “cheaper”.
Cara told followers that she was in the clinic during her treatment for “a few hours” at a time over the course of four days.
The star described the experience as “worth it” as she said: “It’s not comfortable but it’s not the worst, depending on what you’re having done. You are totally numbed and they numb your gums before the dental block so you can’t feel them either.
“Your also given prescriptions to get really strong painkillers after your treatments which are bloody amazing — but honestly, it’s so worth it.”
Cara was also happy about having a child-free break in Turkey as she added: “It was nice to FaceTime them, but I’ll be honest, I had no mum guilt — I bloody loved it.”
