The Love Island stars might be enjoying a long hot summer.
But any sexy singletons imminently dumped from the villa could be forced to isolate for 10 days, if Majorca is placed back on the amber list.
The news comes after Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca are on the cusp of being placed back on the amber list following an increase in coronavirus cases.
According to the latest figures, cases have tripled in Spain in just two weeks to 368 cases per 100,000 people, with more than 21,000 new cases on July 9.
While Majorca and Menorca are also believed to be seeing a surge in Covid-19 cases.
Once source told The Sun: “It’s all still up for discussion, but the figures aren’t great which is why it was on the watch list in the first place.”
If given the go-ahead, unvaccinated Brits returning from Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca – including Love Island stars from the seventh season who have not been fully vaccinated – will have to isolate for 10 days. They will also have to take a Covid-19 test on or before day two and on or after day eight.
The popular sunny Spanish islands were only added to the green list just three weeks ago.
A final decision on any updates to the traffic light system is set to be approved by ministers by Thursday – although some reports are suggesting it could be even earlier.
Meanwhile, under the new July 19th rules that come into play next week, those who have been double jabbed will still be able to enjoy a long hot summer holiday abroad, without the need to quarantine on return.
However, holiday-goers will still need to take a test before their return to the UK and on the second day after arriving home.
This year’s Love Island 2021 villa is set in in the sunny Balearic Island of Majorca – just like the 2019 series, following an 18-month break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The villa is in the quiet town of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, which is located on the island’s east coast.
It is the second villa used in the series, replacing the first initial location also in Majorca after the end of series two.
As is to be expected, this year’s series has already seen quite a few twists and turns.
The latest bombshell came from Tuesday night's episode where it was revealed either Northumberland labourerBrad McClellandor Brighton’sLucinda Straffordwill be dumped from the villa.
The shocking twist has even seen some fans taking to Twitter to predict a double exit.
One viewer predicted: “If Brad and blonde really like each other then there’s no reason they should want to stay and if they pick someone else it shows they are either playing a game or just lying about their feelings and waiting for someone new to come in #LoveIsland.”
“#LoveIsland predictions: Brad will offer to go thinking Lucinda will come with him. She'll stay behind and find someone new and tell them that poor old Brad was dryyyy,” another fan guessed.
A third person echoed the possibility that the couple in danger will depart the villa together, suggesting: “if Brad and Lucinda really like each other, they’ll both leave #LoveIsland #Brad #Lucinda.”
Faye Winter was the unlucky islander forced to deliver the bad news that the public voted Brad, 26, and Lucinda, 21 as the least compatible couple.
The contestants had only just settled into their new couples after getting through yet another dramatic sun-soaked day in the Majorca villa.
