Love Island's AJ Bunker has split from her boyfriend after discovering he'd been lying to her, to later found out he was also a gay porn star.
The TV star has spoken about her horrifying ordeal where her now-ex boyfriend "stole thousands" from her and her agent, as well as completely lying about his life and identity to get closer to her.
The former Islander admitted she has been unlucky in love since starring on the show, and has failed to find a connection with anyone – but her most recent boyfriend appeared to be "too good to be true" and swept her off her feet.
AJ dated her boyfriend for three months before finding out he'd lied about everything: from owning a house, to having a car and a dog, to his profession, she revealed to The Sun.
The pair met at an event and he told AJ he was "a model and had a football coaching company", as well as telling her he had "a car, a dog, a lovely neighbour down the road who he'd go and visit", as well as his own place.
He even suggested he wrote songs for Sony, including one for OneRepublic, and AJ thought he was "the perfect guy and it was too good to be true".
But alarm bells started ringing when she went to his flat and "something didn't feel right."
She told the newspaper: “I put his address to find out where he lived and the YMCA came up. I then went to look for his business and put it in Companies House, nothing came up.
“He said he’d written a particular song for OneRepublic and again nothing came up. It was traumatising.”
After confronting him with his lies on her most recent birthday, he came clean. AJ said: “He told me he’d lied because he didn’t think I’d give him the time of the day if he’d told me the truth.
“He said he’d fallen in love with me, but he said he’d lied about having a dog and only said it because I’d told him I loved animals. He admitted he didn’t have a car and didn’t even have a license.
“By this point I was traumatised and called it a day. I trusted him at first because why would I ever have questioned it. I trusted him.”
After the relationship ended, she blocked him on every platform so he couldn't contact her, but the damage had already been done in the time he'd spent in her life.
While with AJ, he was introduced to all the people in her industry, from producers to influencers, to celebrities, and even got signed to AJ's agent.
But things got even worse, with AJ getting a call from her friend telling her to search a name on the internet, which she did, to discover that her former partner was a gay porn star.
She said: “It was extreme porn. It was all with men and I could see as clear as day that it was him.
“I was absolutely mortified and I didn’t think it could get any worse and then I discovered that. He’d even asked one of my gay friends to send him photos.”
When she was moving his things out of her house, she even found a girls' thong left rolled up in a ball and put into his hoodie.
She compared her former boyfriend to the Tinder Swindler, and wanted to raise awareness for people dating and to "be careful" about the people they are getting to know.
She added: “I want people to be aware and know that sometimes people aren’t always who they say they are.”
