Love Island’s Hugo Hammond leaves fans divided as he raps in TikTok video

Love Island star Hugo Hammond divided his social media fanbase as he shared a video of himself rapping.

Taking to his TikTok account on Monday evening, the 25 year old, who was "thrown out of a kebab shop" in December, dueted with another platform user Sadie Jean as he showed off his rapping talents.

Reflecting on his experiences in 2021, the reality television star rapped about signing up to Love Island after being dumped and went on to explain how the "summer of love" turned into the "summer of pain".

His musical talents had some people cringing as they complained about feeling "icky" while others commended him for his efforts, with one fan even likening him to Eminem.

In the video, Hugo rapped: "2022, looking back on 21, started teaching, lots of learning, it was kind of fun.

"Then she left me, I was feeling all alone so I signed up to that villa application on my phone. Hit the gym, something came, Mr H flew out to Spain.

"But then the summer of love turned into the summer of pain. Go the job done, flew back single, I was the same. But when I meet girls do they want me or just the name."

Taking to the comments section, one person wrote: "New ick unlocked," while another added: "When I say I'm cackling."

A third added: "Just no", while another wrote: "When you learn poetry in year 7."

Someone else added: "Nooo this is so awkward."

However, others quite liked his vocal talents as one person commented: "Is there anything Hugo can't do?"

Another said: "Sounding like prime Eminem mate"

A third stuck up for the star following the negative remarks, writing: "Why does everyone hate on him, just let him be, FFS he's enjoying himself."

Hugo found fame last year when he became the first person with a physical disability to appear on Love Island.

He shared his feelings about his disability recently, opening up about how it affected his time in the villa.

He told Metro: "Before I went in the show, it was very much in the press that I was the first physically disabled Islander."

Hugo added: "It's part of why I got involved in the show, because I wanted to try and make that more mainstream, and make people who do have disabilities or do have impairments [know] that it can be mainstream, it doesn't need to hold you back in any scenario."
