Love Island star Jack Fincham has had his drug driving charge dropped just days before he was due to appear in court.
The ITV2 reality show's 2018 winner was accused of taking cocaine and Valium before driving his Mercedes car, which was worth £30,000.
Jack, 30, was set to attend his trial at Maidstone Magistrates' Court this week after he was charged last January for driving while under the influence of drugs, charges the reality star has denied.
The social media influencer was alleged to have had 239 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, which is a by-product of cocaine, in his blood when he was pulled over by police at the beginning of the year.
He was also alleged to have had 632 micrograms of diazepam in his blood system when he was pulled over – a drug more commonly known as Valium. Jack was near his home in Swanley, Kent, at the time.
The Crown Prosecution Service has now dropped the case, meaning the previously scheduled court appearance this Thursday will no longer take place.
Following the development in the case and the decision to drop legal proceedings, dad-of-one Jack, who shares 11 month old daughter Blossom with his ex Casey Ranger, is said to be planning on "reinventing" his public image and looking within going forward.
OK! contacted a representative for Jack, who confirmed the charges have been dropped and Jack is very much looking forward to Christmas to spend time with his loved ones.
They also confirmed that Jack is excited to "continue his charitable work for GOSH [Great Ormond Street Hospital].
The representative also said the star is "looking forward to what 2022 will bring".
A source reportedly close to the star also told The Sun that the brand ambassador is going to be doing more charity work in the coming weeks.
"Jack has been raising money for children at Great Ormond Street Hospital and is working on himself, giving back to causes that are important to him," his friend reportedly said. "He wants to go into 2022 with a positive public perception.
"His focus is on reinventing himself and establishing himself as a TV personality once again."
Jack denied two counts of drug driving during his appearance at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court in July.
The TV personality's lawyers had argued the blood test done by prosecutors was a "false positive".
In response to the news the case had been dropped, Jack's lawyers said that the Crown Prosecution Service were unable to present "reliable evidence" to prove the star had drugs in his system.
"Ultimately, the Crown were unable to present any reliable evidence to prove that Mr Fincham had drugs in his system," the lawyers said. "Mr Fincham denied the allegation."
"He is, therefore, not guilty of the offences charged and will not be required to attend court again in relation to this matter," they added.
