Lucy Mecklenburgh has proudly told fans that her son Roman has potty trained himself at just 22 months of age.
The 30 year old TOWIE star would have plenty to be proud of had her little boy reached the difficult milestone at all, but Roman has gone even further to impress his mum and dad – former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas.
What's more, the toddler couldn't have picked better timing to help his parents, as the couple revealed they are expecting their second child a couple of months ago.
Revealing how her son had supposedly achieving the feat on her Instagram page, Lucy claimed that Roman had worked out how to use the potty by copying her.
She said her son had quickly begun taking himself to his potty all on his own in the morning when he needed to go.
The star filmed her tot sitting on a white plastic potty as she shared her excitement.
“Roman has potty trained himself. We haven’t really pushed it at all!” Lucy began.
“All we did was take him to the toilet with us and let him copy if he wanted to on his potty.
“Most mornings now are nappy free and he just does it himself.”
The reality TV favourite went on to say that despite the good news, Roman isn’t quite ready to be without nappies when they leave the house.
“But can’t actually believe he’s basically potty trained himself!” she added.
It comes as Lucy shared some exciting updates on her pregnancy to start the new year after attending her ultrasound scan appointment.
Telling fans she was thrilled to receive the "best first photo of 2022," the social media personality posted a close-up shot of the scan image on her Instagram.
“I’m not going to lie I wasn’t overjoyed with getting a scan app for jan 1st 9am," the model admitted. “But let’s face it with a toddler I’d be up anyway and I wasn’t going to be hungover.
“It turned out to be the most special gift to start the new year! Knowing my baby is healthy, growing and safe in my tummy,” the star added.
